I was quoted $85.40 total charges, and the final bill (same amount of time and miles) was$277.80. I was lied to, and I'm not happy. I'll think twice before I use Enterprise again.

After twenty hours in the air it was great to have the excellent service that we received from Joe. A bottle of cold water, clear directions to get to the Turnpike, the seats were heated and the care warm. He was very patient to point out all the features and get my phone linked to the Bluetooth in the car. they well be my go to when next in Newark!

Stay far away. I have rented from enterprise for years, as well as worked for them. Renting cars from enterprise has been terrible since day1.
1) They try to force, use mind games, coerce, down right make you feel bad about whether or not to take their ADDITIONAL insurance.
2) The car are normally dirty
3) check engine light are on in most vehicles. Do not allow them trick you into believing they just took the car to get a oil change and that the light will go of after a couple miles. IT WON'T,
4) the tire pressure light is on in almost every car and employees will tell you anything so that you take the car.
Whatever you do take pictures of the vehicle prior to leaving the facility employees will try to give you a damaged car if you don't accept the insurance just to show you a lesson. They will go as far as inspecting the vehicle and purposely over look the damage and if you don't spot it guess what your screwed. I've witnessed this all to many times.
5) If your in an auto accident and your insurance company is paying enterprise directly DO not let enterprise employees trick you into paying anything they will tell you some bs about taxes.. don't believe them. The only thing you should put down is a deposit which you get back, tell them to adjust the rate so its under the amount your insurance company is paying or ask for a supervisors or management contact number and call them while your in the office.
5) As far as working for them this is not a long term job is the kinda gig you get to hold you over until something better comes. Beware you can get stuck but If you rub the correct shoulders then opportunities for progression is possible but you'll soon realize the pay structure is absurd. The assistant and branch manager get a 2-4% of the monthly revenue, something that sounds intriguing but in actuality you can/ will make less then a new hire if your team isn't hitting goals or customers get into accident (branches pay their own vehicle repair bills. if you rent a car and dont take enterprise insurance and happen to damage the car, then that location has to pay to get the car fixed, which takes away from the total revenue for the month which is literally taking money out the manager and assistant manager pocket, hench why employees are so gung ho to sell insurance "lessen the blow if in fact the vehicle is damaged)
6) as for female's BRM is the ceiling and minorities don't waste your time. Majority of new hires are females or minority, directly reflecting the demoographics. Ironically 95% of senior management is white males. That is not a coincidence.
All in all rent if you must after you have exhausted all resources

I rented from the Newark Airport location and the customer service was exceptional. The counter agents were so nice and helpful, even to the customers next to me. When selecting the vehicle, the rep was so courteous helped me choose the best option for me and my family. This was a great way to start off my vacation. Thanks to all at the Enterprise office at EWR. :)

I am convinced that the most helpful, polite and enthusiastic people working in NY/NJ are employed by Enterprise. We've had wonderful experiences at both Newark and LaGuardia Airport. In addition to the phenomenal staff, the cars have been perfect, and priced lower than the competition. Will always rent from Enterprise when in NY.

The service was very good, not a lot of car selection, and the car was not cleaned. There was empty candy wrappers all over the back, and car was not washed. Someone was not doing their job.

So hassle-free! Gave my reservation code, showed my ID at the desk (no line to wait in!- employees were very efficient!) and was kindly advice to proceed to the parking lot and some alarm and meet me and show me my choice of cars. He was very helpful and very quick, as well as courteous and kind, just like the representative at the desk. Long story short, within approximately five minutes of approaching the enterprise desk, I was literally driving out of the airport! Great, friendly and professional staff. I will definitely use enterprise again.

Poor service, felt rushed and pressured. Did not care for the added pressure of trying to get me into a more expensive rental. Did not care for the sales person like attitudes only caring about having you spend more money. Takes too long to check out, another reason why Hertz continues to get my business more often. Teach your staff about the guest experience, not high-pressure selling techniques.

The staff couldn't have been more courteous and helpful. The entire process was extreme efficient and customer friendly. The car we rented was very clean, got great gas mileage, and was very reasonably priced. I've used Enterprise in the past and after this trip, I will definitely use them for my car rental needs.

The car I ended up with wasn't the best (no antenna for radio and not much power), but I had asked for a car with good gas mileage, so I take responsibility for not paying more attention to the other details. The service at Enterprise (every location) is always top notch, and they are usually among the more affordable as well. I am a loyal customer and will continue to be.

Easy and quick. No hassles. Service is great. Their attendant walked us through contract and car at pickup. Very friendly which is good after a long trip. Exiting the lot could be better. 1 lane exit stinks.

Enterprise customer service is always good and Newark airport is no exception - infact the best. The representative at the counter was cool and completed the formalities real quick. And then at the pick up it was Marc who explained me about everything I need to know from the agreement, insurance, about the mini van I took for rent. Really nice to have someone assist the way he did - thanks Marc!

I rented a Intermediate car and they gave me my choice of any car in the lot. They even threw in a tank of gas. I have rented at enterprise for many years and have never been disappointed.

Rented to travel 1 way from Newark to Allentown and return in Scranton. The experience in Newark was fine. As with any rental cars in Newark you have to take the skytrain & go the rental facility. Enterprise is not as boldly identified as the other companies but not a problem to find them. The people on the lot were super helpful & very accommodating. My issue became apparent after I received an email of my pick up & saw that it showed a return to Newark. When I signed out at the counter I advised the agent that I was returning the car to AVP but she didn't catch that nor did I notice that the reservation changed my destination. I called after my first stop in Allentown to advise where I was dropping the car only to be told that my rate would now change from the 358.00 weekly rate to 1250.00 to drop the car 60 miles away. No effort was made to accommodate the mistake and rate gouging. I returned in ABE and rented an AVIS car for 213.00 one way for the rest of my trip.

Fast and friendly service. Made the reservation online and car was waiting when I arrived, even though I was earlier than expected. Gentleman at the counter couldn't have been nicer or more efficient, even walked us from the counter through to the pick up area. They offered to upgrade our car from a full size to an SUV for only $10 - a no brainer since we were traveling with 4 tall people and a lot of luggage from an international trip. (They even put cold, bottled water in the car, a welcome sight after a long day on multiple flights.) I've used Enterprise before and will continue to do so. They seem to be the company with the most efficient people, the fewest unexpected charges and the easiest rental and return process. Highly recommended.
