Newark High School, affiliated with Christina School District, offers education to more than 2,000 students in grades eight through 12. Its curriculum includes English, mathematics, social studies, science, computers, and physical and technical education. The school provides various extracurricular activities to students, such as academic bowl, astronomy and aeronautics clubs, National Honor Society, literary magazine, theater and band. The sports activities offered by the school include football, basketball, baseball, softball, cross country, wrestling, tennis, swimming and diving, cheerleading, lacrosse and golf. It also has a wellness center that provides physical examinations and health screenings; treatment for minor illnesses and injuries; nutrition and weight management programs; health and nutrition education; and individual and group counseling services.
