WARNING. DO NOT GO TO THIS FAMILY PRACTICE! I had an awful experience with them. When I made an appointment on the phone I was told they accepted my NVA insurance. They took my insurance number and the information went through. When I got to my appointment Dr. Stromwasser's wife (also receptionist) gave me false information saying that NVA did not cover a new patient for a contact fitting. She said it would cost me $140 for a contact fitting and to have Dr. Stromwasser write me a prescription. I called my insurance company who in turn called Mrs. Stromwasser and told her that they covered the entire cost of the contact fitting. There was only a $15 copay for the eye exam which I was completely fine with. Mrs. Stromwasser unhappily told me they would take me at no cost for the fitting and only a $15 copay because it would take them 30 days to drop NVA insurance. I was then examined by a very nice employee (not the doctor). After that I was brought to the eye exam room where the doctor would have examined me. After waiting for about 15 minutes I was told that Mrs. Stromwasser had called back NVA insurance and they made me wait while they did this. I then went back to sit in the waiting room. They refused to provide me service unless I paid $140 even though my insurance covered the exam. This family operated business is extremely greedy and money hungry. I would not recommend wasting your time here.
