After studying at another acting school for years I still felt that I had not developed a strong acting technique. I was left with a sense that technique was this elusive and mysterious thing that I couldn't quite grasp. Then I met Charlie and Maggie. They completely demystified the process by showing me the nuts and bolts of creating a character and bringing a script to life. It was no quick fix. There are no shortcuts to being a good actor. Hard work was expected of me and both Maggie and Charlie were upfront about that. I don't recommend this studio to anyone who is unwilling to put their everything into the work. The teachers here will not tolerate anything less. In the end, if you put in the work, the rewards are well worth every ounce of effort.

I was in a rut in my life before joining the studio. Working a full time job that I was not happy with, unable to find anything worth committing myself to. I knew for the longest time that I wanted to be an actor but I had no idea how to even begin the process. After research and recommendations from friends, I landed at Maggie Flanigan Studio.
The amount of risk I have made in the past two years is something most don't even get to experience in a lifetime. To know what it is to be vulnerable and connect with human situations is awe-inspiring. The camaraderie and support of classmates and faculty is something I have never experienced before. Charlie and Maggie have instilled in me a work ethic like no other. I do not know what I would have done without this program. This is something no one can ever take away from me.
