Dr. Herbert Insel’s passion is preventative cardiology, a topic on which he frequently lectures. He also is noted for his skilled treatment of Cardiovascular diseases and thus he has become a highly regarded physician in the eyes of patients and the medical community. What truly sets Dr. Insel apart aside from his awards, credentials, and experience is the individual attention he gives to each of his patients and his humanistic approach to the practice of medicine. Dr. Insel's staff represent this approach by treating each and every patient in a courteous, caring, and attentive manner. Dr. Insel graduated summa cum laude from Yeshiva University before receiving his Doctor of Medicine at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at The Brookdale Hospital Medical Center. After finishing his residency, Dr. Insel accomplished his fellowship in cardiology at Lenox Hill Hospital. Dr. Insel is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
