What is he thinking?

Too Expensive, Waiters standing around all over the place with nothing to do, or smoking outside. The owner stands around on the phone and doesn't even acknowledge you when you enter. And the food....nothing special! Not even comparable to Olive Garden, let alone an actual good Italian restaurant! In fact, you actually have to order everything ala carte. When you order a steak or entre, you have to order your sides separately. So if you want some vegetables or a potato or a salad....you have to pay for them; they don't come with your entre. And...they are expensive! The interior of the restaurant isn't bad...but..there are no plants, no art to speak of, no "atmosphere". Very boring. Don't waste your time going there. Go to the Garlic or to Carraba's for a good italian meal. I would rate this place a minus 1. Sorry. I think the owners need to "re-think" their concept and quit being so pompous.

Luna Bella Ristorante

Again, The Johnson Group has failed to provide a viable and sustainable business in the Venetian Bay Town Center. Luna Bella Ristorante is typical of any Italian restaurant in any subdivsion in the Metro-Orlando area. At the very least there could be a Publix, dry cleaners, liquor store, etc. that would make this establishment tolerable. However, there is not. Many families moved to this development to escape the "hustle and bustle" of Orlando. Yet the backwards politics of New Smyrna Beach have affected even those of us that are not "beachside." Although the setting of Luna Bella is beautiful, the decor is common and the food is nothing better than what can be created with 30 minutes of Rachael Ray and a trip to Winn Dixie. If you are one of the many young families that reside in Venetian Bay, DO NOT bring your children, unless your'e desire is to be run out by the management and/or sustain the harsh looks of the blue hairs that can't seem to remember when they themselves had young families. The only positive note was the sweet, thoughtful piano player who played a lullaby for my daughter.....thank you!!!! If you want an upscale Italian meal in NSB, your money is better spent beachside at a place like the Garlic where the ownership and staff appreciate the younger families that choose to call New Smyrna Beach their home.
