Founded in 1973, Cypress Elementary School is a learning facility that provides educational services for more than 900 students in pre-kindergarten through grade five. It provides classes in English, art and history. The school features a playground, as well as basketball courts and open fields. Cypress Elementary School offers accelerated reader and Adopt-A-Class programs. It also operates a parent-teacher organization and student council. The school has partnerships with Sweetbay Supermarkets, Winn Dixie, Washington Mutual and Dunkin Doughnuts. In addition, Cypress Elementary School conducts golf tournaments and maintains a Library and media center. It is a part of Pasco County Schools, which enrolls students in elementary, middle and high schools.
