Dr. Jake Kleinmahon joined the faculty at Cohen Children's Medical Center as the Medical Director of Pediatric Heart Transplant and Heart Failure. Dr. Kleinmahon trained in Pediatrics at Tulane University Hospital and Ochsner Hospital for Children before completing fellowships in Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Heart Transplant and Heart Failure at Children s Hospital Colorado. He is also fellowship trained in pediatric pulmonary hypertension After fellowship Dr Kleinmahon became the Medical Director of Pediatric Heart Transplant and Heart Failure at Ochsner Hospital for Children, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is well published in the field of pediatric heart failure and heart transplant. He is active in the Pediatric Heart Transplant Society, Advanced Cardiac Therapies Improving Outcomes Network, and the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation. He was awarded the Colorado Chapter of the Pediatric Congenital Heart Association Doctor of the Year for 2017. His interests include taking care of children with heart transplants, cardiomyopathies, pulmonary hypertension, and congenital heart disease. He is excited to have returned to his home state of New York and start a pediatric heart transplant program at Cohen Children's Medical Center.
