CRS was originally founded in 1972 as Colon & Rectal Surgical Associates of L.I. We are a multi-physician practice specializing in the screening, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of virtually all colon and rectal concerns. In January, 2009 we merged with ProHEALTH and became Colon & Rectal Surgical, a Division of ProHEALTH Care Associates, LLP. Our Board-Certified physicians develop individualized treatment plans based on patient interviews, history and thorough examination. We combine traditional treatments for a range of colorectal conditions with the latest technological advances to achieve optimal outcomes for each patient. More than 95% of routine colorectal screenings for colon cancer are performed in CRS's comprehensive, state-of-the-art facilities. Our treatments go beyond the office setting to help patients make lifestyle changes, including nutrition and exercise, which further promote good colon health.
