Yale Repertory Theatre s audiences have enjoyed performances by hundreds of great actors, such as Meryl Streep, Paul Giamatti, Angela Bassett and Sam Waterston. Located in New Haven, Conn., the theatre has presented a variety of interpretations of classic plays, as well as several new plays, since 1965. Yale Repertory Theatre has featured the works of playwrights, such as August Wilson, Wendy Wasserstein and Christopher Durang. The theatre also presents plays from young playwrights, such as Marcus Gardley, a recent graduate of the Yale School of Drama; Amy Freed, a Pulitzer finalist for Freedomland; and Henry Adam, an Edinburgh Festival Fringe First winner. Yale Reportory Theatre also features shows from classic playwrights, such as William Shakespeare, Anton Chekhov and Henrik Ibsen.
