Coakley's has consistently gone down hill over the last 3 years. As a New Cumberland local, Coakley's used to be a weekend hangout; however the service, cleanliness and food has drastically declined even though the prices seem to be continually increasing.



Skip this place; it's not worth going to.

We are from York and when we pass through the area we always eat here! The inside is a little out dated but we've had great food and service every time!!

I was highly disappointed. I ordered the crab cake. For $17.95 I got a salad that I would have thrown out several of the pieces of lettuce at home as they were the outside parts. My crab cake was small and not that tasty and a baked potato. It was just plopped on the plate. No decoration no imagination. No rolls. My husband ordered the prime rib sandwich. The meat was OK but a little on the tasteless side. No side dish.....nothing. The baked chips were too peppery. Luckily, the beef rice soup was good. However, we'll not go there again. Not worth the money we spent.

Where to start??? I have nothing but wonderful thing to say about this place. The food is absolutely out of this world. If you haven't tried the nachos........do so right away. Let me add that the nachos are not on the menu as a vegetarian friendly item but when I addressed this with our wonderful and accommodating waitress she was more than happy to have the kitchen make the adjustment and have the meat withheld from my nachos. The rest of my meal was just as spectacular and my appetizer. I look forward to returning to try some of their other wonderful dishes!!! Hats off to Coakley's! Thanks for a wonderful experience!

my wive and i were at coakleys the other nite,what a wonderful place to enjoy your evening,great staff and the best food you could have anywhere keep up the great work and keep the good food coming out of your kitchen. we go out to eat twice a week and it is by far the best we eating in a long time

Coakley's has a lot to offer, from their menu items, to their well trained and friendly staff, not to mention the game room and numerous TV's thoughout. Coakley's is the best choice no matter what you are looking for! With the different dining areas, it can satisfy just about anyones dining out preferences. We try to go as often as we can, even though there are plenty of restaurants closer to where we live. The half hour drive is WELL WORTH IT! If you go, you must try their sauteed scallops....the best around!!

Every time I come home from New York, I visit Coakley's with friends and family.

In my opinion, it has only gotten better over the years. We've seen no difference in service or fare with the new owners vs the old. The food is always great, and the drinks- oh, the drinks.

The prices haven't gone up much, if any, even though the price of everything else has.

I cannot remember ever having an empty glass, much less a poorly poured drink at Coakley's. The staff is very helpful and happy to be there. Hell, even the bouncers are nice.



Now if only they'd deliver to Manhattan... I want a burger.



Whoever it is that is putting up bad things about this place should be ashamed of themselves. It's a great place full of great people that puts out damned fine food. End of story.

New owner has run this place into the ground! Place is dirty.....never was when the Coakley family ran it. Wings are not crispy and tasteless. Steaks were very thin and over done. Very expensive for the quality or lack of.

Way overhyped on the internet. Expected way more for the money spent in this hole (over $150 for 4 people). Appetizers were okay - but don't order the wings as they had no flavor and were not crispy (barely cooked skin). Steaks was more than 50% gristle/fat and the portions are ridicuously small for the price. Mixed drinks are badly mixed - and anything with a fruit juice will get you fruit flies in the mix - great surprise. Also the bartender is not able to pour a guiness and anything (fully mixed versus seperated. Wouldn't recommend this place to anybody - too bad good promise gone horribly wrong 09/05/09.
