Business Dinner

**** (4 1/2) stars...exceptional Indian Cuisine

This was a business dinner with 3 clients. We were all impressed with both the decor and dinner. The owners spent considerable $$$ installing a suspended waterfall which adds to the decor. Executive Chef Prasad Chirnomula is an award winning executive chef. He previously held the position of Director of Food & Beverage for the Ritz Hotel in Hyderabad overseeing in excess of 250 employees. (Zagat rated and received the prestigious Rosengarten Report)

Basmatic rice ...incredible

House Breads....Onion Kulcha and Mint Partha 5 *****

Lamb Chops...outstanding

Vegetarian dishes.....one of a kind....excellent

Two of my clients were from the New York area and stated this was an outstanding experience. They are still talking about the food.

The cutting edge - of expensive

The initial entry into the restaurant is convoluted and a bit strange. A combination of big bank entry meets tenament hallway. Once in, you are met by a nice visual and a fairly noisy waterfall, which is not needed for quite old New Canaan.

The food is presented well, taste is good, but over priced. A recent business LUNCH, with apps, main and desert, but no alcohol averaged $40 per head before tip.

If you seek to impress whomever with your ability to spend big dollars, the line forms to the right (if there were a line). If you seek some level of sanity for the dollar you spend, move on.
