EmailABOUT TRENT BUICK GMC In 1957, Don Deichmann opened Trent Oldsmobile Cadillac on South Front Street in New Bern, NC. He built and relocated to a new facility at 1707 Highway 70 East in 1962 and added the Buick franchise that same year. The new shop had ten service bays, three sales offices, and an outdoor new car showroom. Mike Deichmann joined Don in 1963 and worked his way through the service and sales departments until Don's death in 1970. At that time, he purchased the company stock and was approved by General Motors as the youngest Cadillac dealer in the United States. Mike's brother Pete joined him in 1971 and they have worked together for 47 years.
