Fuller's Music is the oldest music store in North Carolina and is currently celebrating its 100th year of operation. Located since April 2001 at 2310 Trent Rd, New Bern, Fuller's Music House, was founded on September 5, 1905 when George R. Fuller decided to end his career as a traveling pump organ salesman based out of Savannah, Georgia. The business rented retail space at three different locations in downtown New Bern until 1924 when George Fuller decided to purchase the Citizens Bank building located at 216 Middle St. This site housed the business for the next 75 years. After World War II concluded, younger son Andrew joined his brother and father in the business. Reid and Andrew ran the business following George Fuller's death in 1957. Andrew's son Wade began working in the business in 1973. He acquired his father's portion of the partnership in 1976 and his Uncle Reid's portion in 1981 and has operated the business ever since. Retail focus has expanded over the years and is currently concentrated on band instruments, guitars, amps, percussion, keyboards, print music, sound systems, recording equipment and related accessories. Fuller's Music's present location on Trent Rd. was designed by nationally renowned music store designer Glen Ingles and is considered one of the finest music retail showrooms in the state. This relocation was a giant leap forward and helps Fuller's Music position itself for the retail and merchandising challenges of the new millennium.

Highly recommended

I have been a customer since they were in the old store and have never had any problems. We have recently paid off a 'rent to own' saxaphone for my youngest daughter. While renting they refurbished and repaired the instrument at no cost with no problems (we had the service agreement). Everyone is friendly and helpful. The kids have also had guitar and saxaphone lessons. The instructors are wonderful.

Wonderful Customer Service

I was checking the reviews for Fuller's and couldn't believe the negativity towards the staff. I have been a customer for 15 years, when the store was still downtown, and I have always been treated kindly and had my questions answered. My mother bought my first bass there and I will continue to purchase my gear there. Thanks Fuller's

No more business with Fullers

Fullers proudly advertises they match internet prices. Went in to make a purchase and had already done my homework on internet prices. Picked my instrument and asked them to match the price. They stated they would match the price but would not deliver and set up free as they would at the store price. Store price was $100 greater than internet. Add another $50 for taxes not required on internet purchase. Internet will deliver to my door. If I cannot set up myself, I'm sure I can pay someone far less than $150 to do so. I had not even discussed the second instrument I planned to buy that day at the price marked in the store. Went in planning to spend over $1000. Left disenchanted with the "who cares if you go elsewhere" attitude of whom I assume is the manager. If I need anything quickly I will go downtown to Musicians Toy Store.

FENDER SNOBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Starting with the owner and ending with the staff, you will not find a larger group of snobs anywhere in ENC!! If you are the River Bend or Trent Woods better than everyone type- then this is your music store! If you are not a Fender fan-(they routinely trash the Gibson brand) then you are unknowledgable or just stupid. I stop by for strings and to take a look once in a while and always leave offended by the absolute arrogance and attitude of the staff- not recommended!!!!!

BY FAR... The BEST Music Store ANYWHERE Around!

I have been a customer of Fuller's Music for years. They have a great selection, which most area music stores don't have, knowledgeable staff, and their prices are fair & reasonable. They can't be topped when it comes to guitars, drums, basses, mics, & keyboards. True musicians know that Fuller's is the place to go in Eastern N.C.

Instrument Repair

Albert, one of the finest brass and woodwind technicians I have ever know, at age 91 is a genius as well as a gentleman. He rescued my Benge Trumpet in about an hour so I could make a gig that evening. This is a quality operation, owned and operated by hometown musicians. I recommend the store and especially the bras and woodwind repair facility s second to none.
