I would give them a zero star if it were offered.

I brought an heirloom diamond pendant to them to have it appraised for insurance purposes. They told me it was not a real diamond and that the gold was not real either.. They put it under the diamond detector. " You have a very nice piece of costume jewelry," she said.

Well, since it belonged to great grandmother, I sought another opinion. the other jeweler looked at it and immediately declared it a very nice - European cut diamond. It was sent away for appraisal. The thing is worth almost $16,000 and it s set in 18K gold.

I wouldn' t trust these folks again. They don t know a diamond and gold when they see it. Go somewhere else.

I was going to purchase a engagement-wedding ring from Tobin Jewelers in New Berlin and paid them $400 to make a wax mold of the ring. After they gave me the drawings for the wax mold, they told me I had to give them another $400 because the first $400 was only for the engagement ring, and not the wedding band. When I told them this was not right and I would not do business with Tobin, the owner Craig Tobin called me and accused me of trying to "weasel out" of buying the ring because I didn't want it any longer. When they tried to charge me the additional $400 I went to Kessler's Diamonds and purchased a ring and it was a great experience. I have never seen such an unprofessional person as Craig Tobin and I would NEVER recommend doing business with them.

I was really surprised; it's not the largest jewelry store we've been in, but they really had a large selection of wedding bands (which is why we stopped in)

We had a really great experience there; Rob was a great guy to work with and was very flexible to our needs and wants. What he didn't have in stock he could have made or polished however we wanted it!

While we were there, we met a woman that had a stone on her grandmother's 60 year old ring fixed. It was a very tricky design, but you couldn't tell at all that the stone they replaced was 60 years newer. They really did a great job and she was just overjoyed.

I just wanted to send an e-mail commenting on the exceptional service I have received at Tobin Jewelers. To be honest, I had never stepped foot in your store prior to meeting my boyfriend. He swore by not only the quality of the jewelry you sell, but also by the service of each and every employee. He certainly was correct! From the moment I walked into Tobin Jewelers, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and really seemed to care about making sure that I had the best experience possible every time. At one point in time, I had brought my earrings in to be cleaned, and a member of your staff noticed the stone was loose. I told her I had to wait until my next payday in order to have it sent n to be tightened. She was concerned I would lose the stone, so the executive decision was made to wave the fee and send it in. This is not something I would ever see happen at a mall jeweler. The people at Tobin's really take pride and honor in the jewelery they sell and it shows. Thank you for giving me such a wonderful experience with your store, and I look forward to many more.

Good morning Suzie :)

Thank you for pulling aside another ring for me -- it was beautiful, it was just too dainty on my finger, with the thin bands.

The one that I loved is actually a new ring that you got in by Valina Bridals (I think).

It is on the right side of the case (when I am looking at it) and it has one row of small diamonds and a row of smaller diamonds on each side. This, of course, knowing my taste, is about 2,095 i think? There is no middle stone in it on display.

I cannot tell you how wonderful you guys have been.... I have loved working with you and thank you so much for all of your patience.

Thanks!

Rachel

Tobin Jewelers DOES NOT have a warranty on their rings! I would not recommend Tobin Jewelers to anyone. We purchased our wedding rings at Tobin Jewelers. Less then 4 weeks after our wedding, 3 small diamonds fell out of the woman's ring. They first tried to charge us a fee to fix it. Then they explained to us how we should not be wearing our wedding rings every day - because their products do not survive the wear and tear of everyday. Craig, the owner, personally explained to us that if you wear your ring to the grocery store or if you use a filing cabinet at work, diamonds will fall out. They size rings at their store, that should be sized by the manufacturer, so that it stays under a warranty. Their rings are not under any warranty. So if you decide to purchase anything from Tobin Jewelers - just hope nothing goes wrong with it.
