Buoy specializes in sensory deprivation, also known as floatation therapy. We have 2 tanks and one open pool (which allows couples to float, and is not fully enclosed). Each one is filled with 11" of water and over 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt (this allows your body to float effortlessly on the surface). The water and air are heated to 93.8 degrees to match the average skin temperature, so it's common to lose track of where your body ends and the water begins. Each tank has a light on the inside that can be turned off while you float, along with optional music. All of these factors allow your body to float in an environment where nearly all external stimuli has been removed. It's a relaxing experience unlike anything else, and the effects can last for days. We currently offer 60-90 minute floats, providing the opportunity for completely uninterrupted relaxation, meditation, and physical well-being.
