The Needham Public Works Department provides services in planning, designing, constructing, operating, maintaining and managing all physical facilities necessary to community life. The department renders services to all citizens in the areas of highway maintenance and construction, traffic control, snow removal, water supply and distribution, sanitary or storm sewer construction and maintenance, solid waste disposal and park and forestry maintenance. It provides its own administration, engineering and equipment maintenance. The Needham Public Works Department promotes programs, which are necessary for asset management and the preservation of infrastructure for the health, safety, welfare and convenience of the people of Needham.
