Women's Protective Services is a community-based organization that has been operational since 1978. It serves the victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. The organization provides a 24-hour crisis helpline service. Women's Protective Services also offers assistance with shelter, food, clothing and transportation. It provides individual and group counseling services and advocacy assistance. The organization additionally offers a 25-week batterer intervention and prevention program. Women's Protective Services owns nearly 20 apartments with beds for more than 200 women and children. Each of its apartments provides access to a clinic, laundry facilities, children's playrooms and group counseling rooms. Women's Protective Services is located in Lubbock, Texas.
