Our History Tampa Orthopedic Clinic is a partnership of physician associations. Drs Companioni and Schulak have practiced orthopedic surgery in Tampa for over twenty years. Dr. Schulak began his practice in Tampa in 1979. Dr. Companioni joined the practice in 1984. The practice grew and for the past ten years our physicians have practiced exclusively at University Community Hospital. Our treatment focus emphasizes patient-centered practice protocols and when possible, evidence-based orthopedic care. We use a team approach to provide personalized attention and to treat orthopedic problems of the spine, shoulders and lower extremities. We emphasize thorough evaluation to determine whether surgical or non-surgical treatment is best. Each patient will establish a relationship with one provider, who will primarily be responsible for your orthopedic care. This will provide better continuity of care. If your particular provider is not available, your care will be assumed by another partner physician or a physician assistant until your provider becomes available. Our goal is to provide the best orthopedic care to our patients. Please use this website to understand the process of appointments, office procedures, medical information and local resources.Office Hours Our main office, Courtyard Square, is open from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday and from 7:30am to 4:00pm on Fridays, except Holidays. Our Lutz / Land O Lakes office is open Mondays from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and Wednesdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Our phone system may be utilized to leave messages, request prescriptions and schedule appointments. Our phone system is available 24 hours a day.
