We recently had our ac replaced, after receiving quotes from 5 companies we felt most comfortable with the technician James and Service 1 Heating. After reading there reviews online we proceeded with the job. We could not be happier, the system is working great and installers Shaun and Mike left our house cleaner than when they arrived. Great Job Guys! We will be calling in fall for our furnace tune up

OK so I am going to be totally honest when I write this review so you will know I am telling the truth. When me, my husband and daughter came home on Friday (12/12) our house was freezing, our furnace was not running. It was late so we really didn't even consider calling anyone, needless to say I am very thankful for electric blankets to get us through the night. The next day my husband looked through the mailing flyers and found three places to call. He called all three places to find out the cost of a service call and me being cheap told him to go with the lowest one. Well let me tell you my cheapness paid off because we got Eric. He came right out to our house and told us what was going on with our furnace and how we were better off buying a new one since ours was 20 years old and not worth dumping the money into it. He was so upfront, honest, friendly and funny (we actually felt like we made a friend after all was said and done). He then sent out Vance and Shawn to install our new furnace and A/C (yes both were old and decide to just do the full Monty). Vance and Shawn were awesome! They were so professional, nice and yes also funny. They were at our house around 2:30/3:00 and didn't get done till almost 10:00 but never had anything but a smile on their faces and did whatever had to be done to get the job done and installed properly the first time. So bottom line is, me and my husband are thankful for my cheapness or we would never have called Service 1 Heating, Inc. and met these wonderful people and the great service we received. We will now be using them for all heating and cooling services and we would be nothing but honored to recommend them to anyone who needs something done. Just had my ducts cleaned by Zack & Aaron. They were excellent. Prompt, professional & knowledgeable. I highly recommend them!

My experience with Service 1 Heating & A/C on 8-23-14 was excellent. I called at 8am and spoke with Eric and explained the problem I was having. Eric was at my home within 45min. He analyzed the problem quickly and I needed a new furnace. Eric was a complete professional and handled everything that was needed from the reasonable estimate, to setting up a same day appointment to complete the job. Eric told me someone would be at my home between 11am and 12pm that day to do the work.At 11:30 am Vance and Zack arrived at my home to do the work. The were also excellent at their jobs. The guys removed the old furnace, replaced it with a new Trane furnace, completed all the necessary gas, sheet metal, electrical, and drain construction, and left my home cleaner than when they arrived. Both Vance and Zack gave me detailed instruction on how to operated the new thermostat as well as a thorough explanation of all the work that was completed. They were done in less than 4 hours. The whole job from the first call to completion was less than 8 hours.I'm completely satisfied and would and will recommend your business to any and all acquaintances and friends.Mike DiVittorio ***** Five out of five stars

Service 1 did a great job installing our new AC unit. They were personable, and considerate. They also worked diligently to ensure that everything worked and looked well, and walked me through all of the things they did. Overall, from the time the day the estimate and service call was provided (David), to the next morning installation (Dave and Mike), Service 1 has provided tremendous service at a reasonable cost. This is the second time we have called on them for service (furnace replaced just a few months ago), and I will continue to call on them for all my AC/Heating needs. After replacing both units in this older home, let's just hope we don't have to call them anytime soon!

I used Sevice One before and was very satisfied so when I had a problem I called them again. Erick came within a couple of hours and diagnosed the problem. The next day Vance and Mike did a great job installing the newA/C and humidifier. They were on time, were very courteous, and cleaned up after themselves. I will definitely use them again.

The blower motor gave out during our recent -30 below cold snap, but not before drawing more current through the control circuit board and toasting it. Given the age of the unit the Service Technician Dave was uncertain if replacement parts would be available. Service 1 carries Trane furnaces and replacement parts.Part of the service inspection includes a 'cable TV camera' which is inserted into the furnace orifices to look for cracks and stress points in the heat exchanger without having to pull the unit. Several areas showed signs of wear that were of concern to the Technician. The Technician pointed out that these areas may not represent cracks, but are definitely the precursors to some serious issues to come. As might be expected, the safest and most expedient decision was to purchase a new Trane furnace. The Technician called the office and arranged for installers (Mike & Shawn) to put the new unit in same day. As a point of reference, the wife noticed the temperature inside was dropping at 2:30 PM. A call was placed to Service 1 at 3:00 PM and the Technician arrived at 4:00 PM. The installers arrived at 6:00 PM with the new unit; removed the old unit and installed the new unit by 8:10 PM. A very professional installation by Mike & Shawn with a high quality approach to making the cuts and fittings. Service 1 does not take any shortcuts with the install. And for all the wives reading this the 8:10 PM install time means heat flowing out of the heating ducts.Keep in mind Trane furnaces and air conditioners are made in the USA and represent premium equipment and replacement parts that come with a 10 year parts and labor warranty as long as you maintain the unit with an annual inspection i.e. $55.00 cost. We installed Trane Model # TEU1C100A9481AD at a cost of approximately $5,000. Very satisfied with the unit.

Both Mark and Kevin were extremely professional, and courteous. I needed to replace an old furnace with a new one. They took the time to answer questions and explain the process so that I could understand. They were kind to my dog and they were patient with my curious 13 y/o. I felt at ease with the process which can be stressful for any homeowner. Mark even assisted my daughter with her science fair project. Much Appreciated!! Thank you and I will highly recommend Service 1.

My wife and I had been away from home for 2 days. When we returned, our house was freezing cold, it was 28 degrees outside, and only 46 degrees inside. I picked Service 1 randomly out of the phone book and gave them a call. I told the dispatcher my problem and she said she would contact the tech and call me back within 5 minutes with an ETA. The return call came in less than 2 minutes and she told me the tech would arrive within 1 hour. He arrived about 20 minutes later. The tech, Eric, inspected the furnace and found the problem within about 10 minutes. He explained the problem and my options. Since the cost of repair would be more than 1/2 the cost of a new furnace, I decided to have a new furnace installed to replace the 12 year old builders spec furnace. Eric started the ball rolling right away and told me they had a furnace in their warehouse, the installers were on their way to pick it up, and they would be at my house within 1 hour.The installers, Shaun & Mike, arrived within the alloted time and began working immediately. Two hours and fifteen minutes later, my new furnace and thermostat system was up and running.I must say that everyone I dealt with at Service 1 was highly professional, friendly, and courteous. No time was wasted in dispatching a tech, getting the new furnace to my house, and getting it installed. I am very pleased with the whole experience and I highly recommend Service 1 if you have heating or AC issues. They definitely went "above and beyond".

Was a Sunday afternoon and our furnace went out with 20 degree weather. Called Service 1 Heating - Dave Kline came out within a couple of hours. Dave was very polite and fun to have in our home. He explained in detail what our problem was and our options. Decided on a new furnace.The next day Mark and Kevin were at our door at 8:00a.m. with a new furnace. Very pleasant guys. Were very careful with the surroundings not to damage anything. Cleaned everything up before they left, would never know they were here.Very pleasant experience from start to finish. Would recommend them with pleasure.

From initial estimate from Jim, through air conditioning installation by Kevin, Mike and Supervisor Mark L., to finishing touches by carpenter Joe L. this was a superior job. Other contractors told us air conditioning could not be installed in attic (Our home is all electric, on a crawl space. We did not want holes cut in the floor, to replace old air conditioning units in sleeves). These guys did a very large job, in a very short time. Every step went exactly as we were told. All were very courteous, and attention was paid to detail. Dust and dirt were kept to a minimum, and ending clean-up was better than expected. They worked hard, I never once saw anyone standing, resting, drinking coffee, etc. Can't say enough good things about the job. We were even walked through how to change filters, operate the controls. These guys worked hard, and I would recommend them for any job!!!

Mark and Kevin put my new furnace in in one hour. Excellent. I would recommend to anyone.

I called the service # and Dave K. answered and explained I had no heat and it was 6am . He came with in the hour!! He showed me what was wrong and explained everything to me! Very happy with the customer service!!!

We live in a very old house and knew we needed to replace the old AC and furnace at some point. We've gone 14 years putting it off and figured this was the time. We had 3 estimates and felt the best choice was Service1. They came highly recommended from a friend and my first impression and meeting with Jim Awalt was what sold me. The day of the install Mark London, Kevin Behnke and Mike Camis were so polite and efficient. I knew we had made the right choice!! Thanks Service1! The furnace works great and hope we can try out the AC sooner than later!

We were told we needed to purchase a new furnace. We are new to the area and decided to look in the Yellow pages. Service 1 had a very appealing ad so we called. Within an hour, Erich Awalt arrived and sat down with us to provide us with an estimate. Erich was upfront and honest, providing us with all the information on our new furnace. Erich was professional and compassionate. Within two hours Vance S. and Kevin B. were here to install our new furnace. Vance and Kevin were also very curtious and efficent. Within 3 hours of arriving our new furnace was in and our home was warm. Vance and Kevin explained how to operate our new thermostat and how to change our filter. They answered all of our questions before they left. Vance and Kevin ensured they treated our home as if it were their own, including covering our carpet and offering to vacuum the carpet when they were finished. It's very hard these days to find a reliable and trustworthy company, if we could give Service 1 10 stars we would!! We strongly recommend using Service 1 and we intend on telling all our friends and family about them! SIMPLY OUTSTANDING SERVICE from start to finish!

the customer service was excellent. vance s. and kevin b. did a great job installing a new furnace and air conditioning unit. cleaned up after they were done. i would highly recommend service 1.
