I've used this service for several years and have always found John to be both reliable and reasonably priced. If a problem is beyond what he can do he is honest enough to tell you, and won't charge you for the diagnosis. I've recommended him to several friends and they have had the same experience with him. One of the things I really appreciate is that if he can't make it at the appointed time he has always called with an updated time. His knowledge of the older sewer systems in Madison is astonishing! Wouldn't call anyone else.

Call another company!!! I spoke to John at 9:50 a.m. today. He said he would arrive between 2:30 and 4:00 p.m. to roto rooter by basement drain. John called me at 3:39 p.m. and tells me the job is too big for him, I should call someone else. I said I would have appreciated him telling me this when I initially called him in the morning. He said call Rooter Express, which I did. They are on the way. It is now 4:34 on a Friday evening.

Had a large sewer backup in my basement due to tree roots. Normally, I have the house rooted every year, but I had forgotten to call my usual service. Called RRN on an emergency basis. Paid $140 to RRN and had another backup within 9 days of service. RRN would not refund my money, and hung up the phone on me. Find someone who will back up their work!!

Avoid Rooter Right Now! I had John come in at 5:30 pm an a weekend for a large sewer backup in my basement. Charged me $140 and told me he should come back to do it again in 1-3 months. Did not seem concerned about getting sewage in my carpeted basement room, but did put down some tarps when I asked him to put something down. Nine days later I had another backup. Called another company that had done work at the house in the past (he had been unavailable the night of the previous problem) and he pulled out the roots that were causing the problem. I called John to try to resolve the situation, and he called me rude and hung up on me.

John was simply fantastic. Friendly, honest, fair and competent. Rates and price are very good. Can't say enough about the great service and price.

Just with one phone call I can already tell Rooter Right now is the best place to fulfill your plumbing needs. He was way more friendly and personable than any of the other 6 places I called. Definitely has my recommendation.

John is great to work with and very reasonably priced. I recommend him to everybody.

I've had John at my house twice now to clean out the pipe leading to the road (grinding out roots from the old clay pipes). He does a great job and is much more reasonably priced than other plumbers I've had out.



There's nothing fancy about his operation, but who cares? He's very friendly and I have no complaints about his work.
