I had taken my car here on a couple occasions because it was more convenient for me than my usual garage. They seemed friendly and knowledgable. However, after my last visit there I want to warn everyone not to go to this place under ANY circumstances. A couple weeks ago my Forester acquired a new noise on my drive home. I was able to diagnose it as coming from the timing belt area--most likely a bad tensioner or pulley. I had it towed to Redinger's. The noise was so bad I did not want to drive it and risk damaging the belt. I explained to them what I thought it was. The next day they called and told me my engine was shot and beyond repair. However they had no specifics, as they hadn't actually taken anything apart. They wouldn't even look under the timing belt cover, and totally dismissed my diagnosis. Instead they told me it would be about $3000 to put a "new" engine in it from their preferred junk yard. This is a 2000 Subaru, which had been running fine otherwise. So I then had it towed to Cerra Automotive in Greensburg--$269 for a new pulley and a thorough checkover of all the belts and everything else under there. My car is running good as new again thanks to the competent mechanics at Cerra. I will never return to Redinger's.

Finally a place where they know what they are doing and where they are small enough to care but big enough to have everything you need. The price that was quoted was the price charged and for the first time in a long time I had work done to my vehicle and there were no hidden or add on charges. Going to Randy Redinger & Sons reminded me of when I was young and we took our car to the local garage and you were treated like family. The mechanic's were knowledgeable, the work was done quick, it was done right and was reasonably priced. I will have all of my routine service and any major repairs done by this business and will highly recommend them to everyone.

I took my vehicle there and they were extremely fair and they were very friendly. I would recommend them to anyone.
