BEST FLORIST EVER!!!! Our 11 year old Granddaughter broke her arm in three places, Yuck! “Playa Flowers” made her such a magnificent planter. My Daughter sent me pictures, the smile on our Granddaughters face was soooo…. Big. These are her first flowers sent to her. We could not be happier! Worth every penny! I believe the girl who made this planter is Coleen. It was Whimsical, full of little surprises everywhere  I would give this review 10 stars if I could!!!!

Many thanks to Maibritt for her patience and friendly advice when I ordered a Thanksgiving arrangement for a family renting a condo in Marina del Rey. As I was in Cincinnati and didn't really know the family which was visiting from Boston, the logistics of delivery were a bit complicated. Everything went perfectly, and the flowers were lovely, fresh and much appreciated by the family. I highly recommend Playa Flowers!

I looked at the video and virtual tour and saw the different arrangements around the store. Because of that I knew that they could create something special. On the phone they were very courteous and friendly, giving great suggestions. I gave them my budget and they created a beautiful arrangement that honestly lasted almost two weeks. Needless to say not only was my partner ecstatic with the arrangement but was able to enjoy it for quite some time. I will definitely use this flower shop again! Thank you Playa for making her day even better!!

I have used Playa Del Rey Florist on many occasions, and their work is always the best. So when it came time for my wedding, I knew there was only one florist on the west side to call. The staff at this shop is friendly and the designers are beyond talented. When I walked in with ideas I found in magazines, they provided me with physical examples of how big I could go with the designs. It was a wonderful experience. On the evening of my wedding, I had not doubt I would be impressed with the flowers....but it was even more than I expected. Thank you so much for making my perfect day unforgettable!

My mother was so happy with the flowers I sent her in LA. It was for her birthday and she loved the bouquet. I've seen a camera photo of it and it looked really fantastic. I'm sure in person it looks amazing because she was really blown away by the arrangement they did. !! --Carol

Not only were the floral arrangements in the wicker baskets on the altar area for the wedding exquisite, and the bouquets and buttonaires unique and beautiful, but Lance and his crew did an exceptional job of a last minute "save." On Christmas Eve, I stopped by the chapel where my son and his fiance were to be married on the day after Christmas and discovered an unexpectedly bare sanctuary where I had expected the Church to be filled with flowers for their Christmas celebration. Lance came to the rescue with beautiful poinsettias to fill the space, while we purchased a 10 foot flocked Christmas tree, gold beads, and red and gold bulbs. The morning of the ceremony, they arrived early and decorated the tree, turning it into a stunning backdrop for the wedding. In a couple of hours, they performed a miracle, turning the bare sanctuary into a striking setting for a beautiful wedding. You could not find a better florist in terms of aesthetics and in their concern for your needs. I recommend them highly and without reservation. Diane de Anda

I found Playa Del Rey Florist & Greenhouse through a simple search on YellowBook.com and I cannot begin to tell you how pleased I was with their service, care, and quality. I was sending some flowers to my girlfriend at work for her birthday out in Century City and I needed the flowers to be delivered to her office on a Friday no later than 11:00 a.m. Maibritt at Playa Del Rey Florist & Greenhouse completely took care of me. She created an absolutely beautiful arrangement and made sure that the delivery was made by 11:00 a.m. - actually she made sure that the delivery truck went to my location first!!! Needless to say, my girlfriend was very pleased. She loved the flowers that Maibritt put together and said they were the "most beautiful that she had every had." The best part about the whole experience is how long the flowers are lasting. When the flowers were delivered, the roses were in full bloom, but the lilies were still closed - so about two days later the lilies opened up and it was like a whole new arrangement all over again! I can't thank Maibritt enough for making it such a pleasant experience for me. This is definitely the place you need to get your flowers - ask for Maibritt, she will make sure you get taken care of.

Look folks.......I'm sure that Playa Del Rey is a fine florist, but they are in Playa del Rey. If you order flowers from them,

they charge you a service charge and give your order to a florist that is in the city you want your flowers delivered to. Much smarter to find a florist in the city you're sending the flowers to, and call them directly and save a service charge.

Any time I need flowers, I go to Playa del Rey Florist. They always have such a wonderful selection of fresh and unique flowers, which I haven't seen other places! All the flowers I have bought there, stay beautiful and last longer than flowers from anywhere else. The customer service is incredible, they always make me feel like family-which is another reason I love visiting them! They also have great cards and cute little gifts and candles- it's a wonderful little one stop shop! I recomend it to all my friends!

I called with a last minute rush order for my Fiance' for Valentines Day and they went above and beyond the call of duty. They even held up the delivery truck while they took my order for a 3pm delivery on a 1:30pm order call. They got there a few minutes late, (terrible parking in the area), but I had already schemed to keep her at work a little longer and the delivery was made at 3:10pm. She was delighted and suprised and I appreciated the extra effort. The staff was friendly and I will undoubtedly utilize their services again in the future.

If you had a bad experience, we can't say it enough: tell us why and be specific. Instead of bashing a business, tell us how the business could have made your experience better.

I Googled florist in Los Alamitos because I needed a local florist. Playa Del Rey came up, so I called them. They were wonderful and could accomodate anything I needed, but even though the internet said they were local, they actually were not (I thought everything was true on the internet! LOL). Long story short, they were very honest and referred me to a local florist when they could have easily just taken the order and then wire it. They went Above and Beyond and I would definitely use them in the future!!!

Despite the "open 7 days a week" ad on the website, Playa Del Rey is CLOSED on Sundays. Despite the link to "Florists - Long Beach" this place does NOT deliver to Long Beach.

I called this florist and spoke with Lance...I had an urgent request for my Mother’s B-Day...Lance made certain the flowers were delivered the same day and went above and beyond by calling me the next day to make certain my Mom was happy with the order....I have NEVER had a florist call me the next day....they truly have incredible customer service.



I highly recommend this florist.

I didnt get to thank any of the designers but i did speak with the guy who delivered them. He was super nice and pretty darn cute. He made me feel alot better and even commented on how well I looked even after my surgery. Anyways I would recommened them to anyone and hope to get flowers from them and him again.

I like shopping here. The selection is great.
