We have an older (2002) Dodge Dakota truck that we don't take care of very well, adjusting to each new issue it develops, just to keep it on the road.



Well, the cracks in the windshield kept getting bigger and longer, and were no longer just an irritant. They had become a safety issue.



While we were at a recent sales event, we came across Shea Mehling and his Performance Auto Glass (he's out of Bennett, Colorado). In talking to him about our Recycled Floor Mats, and inquiring about his business, he told us how he solves windshield issues for regular problems like ours and specialty windshields for classic cars, trucks and other vehicles. He impressed me with his description of the way he goes about a windshield replacement, so I decided to have him replace ours.



.....and am I glad I did.



He came to our place of business (in Lakewood) and immediately set about taking the old windshield out. Within minutes he had it out and carefully cleaned and prepared the opening for the new one. Next, he described the quality of the replacement while he fitted it into the opening. Who knew one windshield might be different from any other (it seems there are major manufacturing quality differences). Anyway, in what would have been half an hour, the job was done and we could now see out the windshield without any distraction.



I learned a lot about windshields from Shea and am very impressed with the replacement we got from Performance Auto Glass - Great price, great service, and cleaned up after himself. I recommend him.
