Splendid Service

From start to finish i got a professional and courteous service. Got excellent advice on how to receive my car since i wont be around, competitive rates, excellent communications from staff and truck driver. All in all lovely experience and i will definitely use them again or recommend using them. As a professional i appreciate working with people who are also professional. So thank you.

I was nervous after reading this review. I called Momentum becuase someone I know had used them before and said they had a great experience. Thankfully the review that I read here was not what I experienced. I spoke with Mark, who is the head of their international shipping. He was extremely knowledgable and polite. He even gave me some information that I didn't ask for which I relly appreciated. If I decide to ship my car overseas (I'm thinking of maybe selling...not sure yet), I will definitly use them.

Worst initial call EVER!!!!

I called Momentum Transport (MT) on 10/30/2007 after searching for Freight Forwarding service in Ann Arbor area.

Their number was the first on the list.

I called the (866) 309-7700 and someone answered cordially and said "Good afternoon, Momentum Transport. How can I help you?".

I asked if they shipped international freights.



Rather than getting an answer, I got another quick question and the conversation continued on the following lines: "What are you shipping?".

My response: "A car, to country xxxxxxxx".

MT: "What kind of car?"

My response: "...ahhm a Toyota RAV 4. A midsize SUV".

MT: "Exactly what car are you shipping?"

My response: "A midsize SUV".

As I tried to explain that I wanted to ship a vehicle to country xxxx and was trying to get an estimate of how much it would cost me, this salesperson said: "Not interested" and hang up the phone before I could utter the next sentence.



I called the (866)309-7700 number again and asked why he hang up the phone on me.



He said in a very loud and yelling voice: BECAUSE YOU COULD NOT UNDERSTAND MY QUESTIONS!



I said: "There's no need to yell as I'm just trying to get a basic quote and called your number because it was the FIRST one that came up in my search on YelowPages.com. I've never shipped a car before and I'm disapointed that you got frustrated with my lack of understanding about how this process is supposed to work."

He said: "OK".



At that point I hang up the phone on him.



There are plenty of other businesses that would try harder to retain a potential customer.

This guy was either having a very bad day or determined from my accent that his business did not need my money.

This company should AT A MINIMUM put someone more respectful to answer the phone.



In any case, I decided to take my money elsewhere, just be careful with yours.

This doesn't sound like our company, as we have an excellent reputation, especially when shipping overseas!
