I have conducted several interviews with survivors of LRA and other similar "institutions". These places benefit no one except those who's pockets get fatter. Parents, children and workers are all brainwashed into believing the only way to succeed is by ruining the progress of another person. The workers are brainwashed to bully and mistreat the children. The parents are brainwashed to believe the children are lying and that the "rehabilitation" is worth thousands a month. (Our son) has been home from LRA for three years now. He’ll be 20 next month. He’s still a happy, healthy, pain in the neck, know it all teenager (aren’t they all?) and we are thrilled. He’s entering his second year of college. . . Anyone who meets (our son) now would never suspect he suffered from depression and cancer and overcame it all!!
