Called Liberty about replacing the flashing around my chimney. They came out and found that the cricket behind the chimney needed to built up, and also replaced the flashing. Charged us $575, which i though was pretty reasonable. It took a long time, but the work looks good (although the other reviews on here make me nervous).
My real complaint is that when they were done, there was trash all over my flowerbeds and front lawn: tar paper, shingles, chunks of masonry and rock from my chimney. I called Dave and expressed my disappointment. He said they must have missed all the trash in the dark and he'd have someone come clean it up. They never did. I called today to talk about it with him today and was told not to worry.
Dave takes his time to explain what they're doing, but Liberty Roofing has issues with follow-through.

This company messed up my roof from day one. They never met with me ever before starting the job. They then left me notice after dark that they were coming the next day. This job was to be the house and the garage as we are putting solar on the house and garage. Note: My roof has a flatter roof line and was told by many roofers that you could not use shingles.

It started off they showed up first thing at 8am. They had the roof ripped off in no time. They left and I figured they were done for the day. A couple hours later the company that delivers the roofing material shows up and is putting shingles on the roof. I ask the guy "I thought this needed membrane?" and I asked "Are you doing the garage as well?" (as I knew it had to have membrane) and the delivery guy says I have no idea but I think No.

So, I call Dave (owner or manager?) and he says there may have been a mixup and he never really remembers my place. It turns out he only came the night before when he delivered notice the work would start the next day which will lead to the issue that will arise later.

He comes over and says to me again he never really measured so now is doing so with the roof all ripped off. He tells me we are going to do shingles on the main house. Already at this point they have the wrong drip edge up on 3 sides of the house (I will include pictures). Under the old drip edge which was longer was roofing material that you would not paint. Now that is exposed as the new drip edge is too short. He tells me it is just a matter of taste... Taste??? You mean do I like the roofing material the drip edge is supposed to cover being exposed? Unreal.

So, they finish the roof and the ducts and all that looks good. The chimney... Not so good. Very rushed. They had to use so much silicone to fill gaps that I could have stuck my hand through. I will have to redo and 3 days after they install they will not remedy the issues they created. Another roofer coming to give an estimate.

Note: My roof has a flatter roof line and was told by many roofers that you could not use shingles - I measured it and it came to 1.8 so it could be 2 as I do not have a pro tool but do have a pretty good iphone app. Any less than 2 and you would need membrane for the roofing material

I go and pull the old drip edge out of the trash and the new was shorter and not matched to the house. He tells me it is just a matter of taste... Taste??? You mean do I like the roofing material the drip edge is supposed to cover being exposed? Unreal. As of this writing I have to have an estimate tomorrow on how to do this right. We all know why Dave is advising against it...? And wanting it to be right when it is not..

I spent an hour cleaning up nails and debris all around my home. Dave told me they would clean up and if I raked they would do a better job and I did just that and still ended up picking up a lot of roof material. As the roofer left I saw one of them toss trash out the window of the red ford pickup they drive.

In the end... It is not over for me. I have to hire another company to actually do the garage now which was the whole reason for me to do any of this.. The only roof I wanted done was the garage but decided to do the house at the same time. So I still have to do that and fix the issue I just paid for.. The main house would have gone longer with the roof it had.

As my father used to say. If you cant do it right don't do it at all. With Liberty roofing you will end up doing many things over sooner that you expect. I am one day out of them finishing this.

I cannot recommend this company at this point. Their website might look good but their actual work is rushed and shoddy.

More people need to go on the roof and inspect after any contractor works on your home. I am sure a lot are taken ad...

Needed roof repaired as bad weather set in and several leaks appeared from prior construction. Contacted Dave and he got us on the schedule. Rains came and so did the drips and the ruined Sheetrock. Dave moved us up the schedule to get a temporary stop. He later appeared with crew to reroof the problem section. Thanks for the dedication (Dave) to resolve our problem. In our emergency I had contacted several contractors who stated they would try to get us on the schedule. When Dave came to estimate he took the time (30 min) to explain what he believed the problem to be. NO other contractor that came by seemed to care much.

Completed a roof leak in july, everything seemed fine until I noticed a spot that was over looked and the plywood was rotten. Called dave and he came and looked at it said he would get me on the schedule. Two weeks go by no communication so I ask if I got on the schedule he tells me next week. next week comes and someone shows up unannounced and starts banging around on the roof. So naturally I go out to see what is going on to notice that a worker in an unmarked van has trampled my garden plants and setup his ladder on my other plants, I then ask him what he is doing and why he didn't knock on the door and why he trampled my plants. He shrugged and said he was there to fix the roof. I ask him to come down and talk to to me and he wont. I walk around back to see what he is doing and he is starting to rip up the wrong part of the roof. I then get very frustrated and tell him to stop working and get off the roof. I try and call dave at this point and he doesn't answer. His guy walks off the job and then I get a text message from dave that I need to find another roofer because I was rude to his guy.
Now it is January and what I paid them to fix is leaking again and he wont warranty his work and told me to find another roofer.

Excellent job at a very competitive price. Did tear off and replace roof in 1 day, including removal of swamp cooler. This crew worked like a well oiled machine. Cleaned up afterward, no collateral damage.

The job may be good, they are finishing up today. However, my whole front yard was ruined in the process. They had NO regard for my plants in the front. Killed all the mint plants, dalias, sunflowers, tulips, there are wood chunks in all the my plant areas. The took over my drive way, front yard, and couple of parking spots in back. Nothing about their process whole has been convenient for the customer. Real Bummer

A friend recommended Liberty to us, telling us that their bid had come in much lower than others they had gotten. When our general contractor's bid came in higher than we were anticipating, we double-checked with Liberty, and sure enough, their bid came in $500 less than we were quoted by our contractor, and Liberty included other details like adding additional turtle vents, etc. We were very pleased with their promptness, neatness, and thorough work. They were very flexible in working with our contractor's schedule to accommodate other projects happening simultaneously. Would highly recommend them!

This outfit knows how to do a job and do it well! Without jeopardizing the cost or workmanship!! I'm a contractor as well, and I've seen cheap work and highly priced work! Ya usually you'll get a better job for more mo ey, and not so great of a job for less! This outfit they do a great job for a reasonable price! Liberty Roofing will definately be referred by me!! Contacted Liberty last spring, (it's now fall) regarding leak in roof. They were quick to respond and gave me solid bid with explanation of service. During recent storm my roof had small leak in same area. When I called and spoke with Dave, they were on my roof immediately, found the problem (worn dryer vent pipe) and repaired. Received follow up phone call to let me know work was done and please call if any more problems.I have been very impressed with their professional business ethnic, and would recommend their company 100%. Dave had a very competitive bid. When the project was started, we were concerned about rain, so his team made an extra effort to complete our roof in stages and make sure it was quickly covered with the waterproof material. High quality roof at a fair price. We would recommend Liberty Roofing!

I needed my roof replaced and had several bids come in. When I first met Dave as he came to make a bid I felt like he was trust-worthy. When I received the bid I considered it to be fair, perhaps even slanted in my favor. In comparing all the bids I received I chose to go with Liberty Roofing. It was the correct choice.He and his crew went out of their way to do a quality job. The crew was knowledgeable and hard-working. They showed up on time and didn't waste time standing around. They tore off 3 layers of roofing, put new plywood down, and roofed my entire home in little over 2 days. Dave had me check everything over and let him know if I saw anything else that needed to be done. He was concerned about my satisfaction and not just moving on to the next job. I asked him if he could straighten out my rain gutters, which were sagging and hadn't been draining correctly. It was immediately taken care of. I cannot say enough about the treatment I received as a person and as a customer, and I can't say enough about how satisfied I am with my new roof.One other thing, when Dave said that clean-up was included in the bid he really meant it. My property was left clean and free of any roofing materials of any kind.I would not hesitate to use Liberty Roofing again, although I don't anticipate needing a roof for a very long time!If you need an honest bid and quality work done to your specific satisfaction I know you'll get it through Dave at Liberty Roofing. I needed a complete roof tear off and replacement. The previous roof was not properly installed and had been a problem for years. Every big wind meant lost ridge caps and shingles.Liberty gave me the best bid and the workmanship was excellent. i could immediately see the difference with the new roof vs. the old.They answered all of my questions with patience and were very professional.Several of my neighbors have used Liberty for roof replacement and others have asked for bids. They must be doing something right.

Was very pleased with the quality of the material used as well as the craftsmanship used to install our new roof. The price was very reasonable is why I went with Liberty Roofing rather than replacing the roof myself, like I did 20 years ago.

Making a decision to replace a 25-year old roof was difficult for me, until I sat with Dave and asked question after question. He was patient. I asked straightforward questions, and he answered with completely honest responses. When deciding on which 'look' I wanted, Dave went the extra mile by purchasing a bundle of each shingle in which I was interested and lying it on the roof for my consideration. Who does that?! The price was fair, they completed the job in a timely manner, and the workers were respectful. An all-around fantastic company!

We bought a new home last year. The roof was in terrible condition. This year we started looking for someone to help. Liberty was recommended to us. They gave us a very fair price and the work was done very quickly The roof looks great! THANK YOU!.

Big thanks to Liberty roofing for removing our ugly and leaking tar & gravel roof and replacing it with beautiful architectural shingles. Dave was great to work with and made sure the job was done right even though they discovered some unexpected problems that had to be dealt with. I also appreciate how Dave and the company went out of their way to keep the project on budget.
