Love and Care

Hi, Im Quincy, the talkative one and my much quieter brother Cooper, (long haired Chihuahua and Papillion respectively). I have just got to write about our experiences at Lads and Lassies. When my Mom first took us, I didnt know what the word board meant and at home my kennel was the small box I go in when nobody is at home so when my Mom said she was going to board us at the kennel I figured board had something to do with my BOX at home. Boy was I wrong!

First off some nice two legged dog, I think they call her a lady, comes and takes me out of my Moms arms, hey she knows my name. My first though was, hold up, hold up here now, I dont know you like that but she kept scratching me behind my left ear, and talking softly to me and giving me hugs and kisses. Before I know it, Mom is gone but Ive been scratched, hugged and kissed up so much that I didnt even miss her! And Coop has his lady loving on him too!

That nice lady took me back to the biggest BOX Ive ever seen. That place was HUGE (at least in Chihuahua eyes). My brother Cooper and I had our own space in this big box and we were surrounded by other guys, and girls in their own spaces, and get thisWere in the same big BOX!

Cooper and I have clean blankets to sleep on, but wait all of the spaces have clean blankets. Everybody has room to walk around, play with your toy from home. We can socialize and bark and sniff each other through this wire wall that separates our spaces. Like having your own little tiled back yard and having dog neighbors all around you. This aint bad.

I can hear bigger dogs barking some where else. Is there a bigger box for dogs with legs longer than mine somewhere outside our big BOX? Well if there is, I just know they have got it as good as we do.

Just as we settled in that same nice lady and a couple of other two legged dogs, came and got us. They unhinged those wire walls and let us go. Stampede!!! Freedom!! Now, personally I am an indoor dog so I was not impressed but I got my run on as well and headed for the door.

The yard was big, there were fenced in time-out places for those who forgot their manners but if you were a good boy you could run with the big dogs and play, play, play!

Coop and I know when we pull up in the drive way that we are coming to a fun place. Ive figured out that board must be another word for love and kennel must mean care cause that all we get whenever we come here.
