AVOID THIS COMPANY!! They made my moving date a mess, supposed to be at 7:30am and arrived 10am and then with a broken truck!!!
The calles James never pick up the phone and the owner just said sorry! Sorry!
But we have to hire immediately another serous company, watch out with this guys! Do not hire them!!!

These guys were awesome. They arrived about fifteen minutes early to position the truck and scope put situation. I was on the third floor and moving to an apartment in another complex on the second floor. These guys worked none stop and very quickly. They were a team and very professional. They moved all my stuff in three and half hours. Like I stated down three flights of stairs and back up another two flights of stairs. King size bed, couches, table and chairs, large cabits and about 60 boxes. I would recommend them to anyone and would use them again if needed.

After a horrible, rip-off experience with another large mover in Houston, I FOUND THE BEST: JOHN D. MOVING!!! These guys are outstanding! I've used them twice now (Aug. 08 in Houston's heat and today, Feb. 28, 09). They continue to meet or beat all my criteria: they are PROFESSIONALS. BOTH TIMES: These men showed up ON TIME, CLEAN and EASY TO WORK WITH. They get right to work and work HARD, NON-STOP until the job is done, and they will always make sure they place everything as you want it. They always ask you. They are SUPER CAREFUL with everything, and I mean everything! No dings . . . . no scratches . . . careful lifting, placement and padding. I especially like they these guys are smart. They find the most efficient and careful way to move large items (down stairs or through doors). I watched two of them move my 8' armoire down a narrow spiral staircase and not even touch the wall! I'll bet John D. must be an awesome boss because they have such a pleasant attitude while they work. And they work well together and are respectful of each other, helping one another with heavy loads. It's just so nice to see this kind of cooperation. It has made the stress of moving a breeze for me, BOTH times. Their rates are SO reasonable that I always feel like I'm getting a real bargain. Finally, Mary (in the office) is so accommodating and pleasant to work with. She will make whatever arrangements YOU need and she makes sure you are happy. So if you haven't used them, I'd love to share them with you because I want them to stay in business so when I need them, they are right there for me. I can't imagine anyone having a bad experience with them. They're awesome! C. Randolph in Houston

This business can improve by following standard business practices. It is managed so poorly that I'm amazed they can continue to operate. The owners display an unbelievable lack of concern for their customers and their community. A little honesty and fairness would be required to make this a reputable business.
