I'm beginning to think I'm on an episode of Punked. Goods has come out three times now and STILL hasn't gotten it right. The person who gave me the initial quote tried to tell me that it did not include pruning/trimming the entire tree and that we were looking at the trees from our property line at the time, so he didn't think I wanted the other side done. Then he tried to tell me that our neighbor has the responsibility for trimming on her side, even though the tree is on our property. You can't really make this stuff up.

I had a very positive experience with Good's Tree Care. A sales rep came out to survey the work I wanted done. He sent me a quote by email within minutes from his truck. I felt that the quote was reasonable so I responded to the email to schedule the work. I did need to follow-up once by phone in a week to see when the work would start. The work was completed within a day or two of my inquiry. I must admit that I thought that the sales rep was trying to up-sell me by recommending that I have the pear tree not only trimmed by thinned out. However, I was happy that I went with his recommendation because 2 neighbors lost their pear trees during the storm of May, 2011 and 5 more neighbors lost their pear trees during hurricane Irene in August, 2011. I will use Good's again for future needs.

I needed an estimate to have the last two branches of a tree cut down. When the guy got to my home he was very rude and condescending and refused to give me a quote because of the fact that I had already cut half of the tree myself. He claimed by cutting part of the tree myself I made the job more difficult. What's the point of being in the business of cutting down trees if you don't want to cut down a tree? Despite being annoyed that he wouldn't give me a quote, me being the nice guy that I am figured that I'd not let his trip to my house be in vain so I let him know my neighbor was interested in getting a quote for one of his trees. Well his exact words to me were, "We're not in the business of making estimates." WTF? Yeah, do not waste your time with these guys, they obviously didn't want my business and I'm pretty sure they won't want yours. Lets do them the favor by putting them out of business for good.

Gentleman came out asked us one question, said he was not even going to give us a price because he won't compete with others we called and left.

These guys know what they are doing! Totally responsive and understanding of exactly what I was looking for because they understand.
