I hired Phil to be my general contractor for a room addition. He is a nice guy and the price was ok, however the quality of work was not acceptable. Many items had to be re-done because he does not pay attention to the details. These include foundation anchors, wrong doors and windows ordered, the paint on both inside and out did not match existing paint (my neighbors even commented on this), the walls were textured 5 times! He gave up on texturing because his sub was not competent for the job. I had to hire professionals to come fix and texture my walls, which he paid for because he could not do it. He did not finish all the items in our contract. Made a huge dust mess which we had to pay to have cleaned. I really wish I would have done more homework and went with someone else for this job. All it would have taken to do this right is to pay attention to details and manage your sub-contractors. He did neither and my wife and I paid the price. Handyman quality at contractor pricing.
