We adopted Keno 4 years ago. He has been the perfect dog for our family. Here is what I LOVE about Forgotten Paws (sorry haters):

*Morgan CARES about where and with whom the dogs are placed. She does her research.

*Morgan is busy. No, she doesn't always get back to you right away....because she is busy doing her life's passion. That takes time.

* I had to wait a month to get my dog. However, I believe it's best to be a little patient, go through the process, and get the right pet for your family. Anyone can just show up and take a pet home. FP doesn't work that way.

*Morgan still checks up on Keno...4 years later!!

One of the best rescues in GA-all about the animals best interest and no drama-first rescue I fostered for in GA back in 2007 and still actively participate with-non breed specific, takes some tough cases and Morgan loves every single one like they were her own-all animals 100% vetted and healthy when they get adopted...not so much when surrendered. FANTASTIC ORGANIZATION!!!

I've adopted 3 dogs and fostered another over the last 15 years from Forgotten Paws. All of my experiences with the organization have been great. Morgan really knows and cares for the dogs in her care, and she does her best to make sure that they are placed in the right home. She also doesn't forget about the dog after they've been adopted - she's available to answer any questions you have no matter how many years it's been since you adopted the dog. Great rescue.

My last three pets were -are with forgotten paws. Great sweet well taken care of animals from a wonderful organization devoted to the care and well being of the forgotten dogs left behind. Whether it be from neglect, disease, abandonment, old age or unsocialized behaviour . Morgan Chadwick has done an amazing job loving and caring for these animals for the last 20 years... Keep up the great work.

Forgotten Paws and Morgan Chadwick are the best kind of dog rescuers! The animals in her care receive the best of everything thus the adopter can be assured that everything will be taken care off. Morgan does home visits and a thorough interview process to make sure the dog is a perfect fit for your family! Simply the best for compassionate placement of rescued dogs! Love her!

I had lost both my senior pups in a matter of 3 months and waited another 6 before looking to adopt. Forgotten paws posted a photo of a sweet faced black lab that was in the shelter on the soon to be killed list. I reach out because I wanted to save her. I was responded to with in a day of my email. We would foster and if she did well with the other fur kids we would adopt. Everything went according to plan and we have our baby girl for over 3 years.

I first came into contact with Forgotten Paws Rescue through the vet hospital I worked at and I was impressed by the sincere love shown to the animals rescued and brought in for care. The person who runs it, Morgan, is a genuine and sincere person, her concern is for the well being of the animals. She rescues animals and gives them good homes, she does her homework, checks on the animals and always makes sure they are in the care of loving and caring homes when fostered or adopted. She gives sanctuary to many animals that would be unadoptable by general standards and they are all well cared for and loved...Thank you to Morgan and those who help her at Forgotten Paws for all you do for the animals....!!!

Enjoyed my positive experience with Forgotten Paws! Have fostered in the past and help the organization out when able. They rescue so many that would never have had a chance.

Got my wonderful baby 6 years ago and couldn't be happier. Have tried my best to help this rescue group financially and work days because they do such a great job with not as much assistance as they need. The owner is very busy and extremely rigorous in their application process to ensure the dog is going to the right home. Unfortunately, not every application is accepted and that is a good thing to ensure the dog and the human are the best match. Wonderful rescue group!

This group works to ensure that good homes are found for the animals they rescue. They require apps, and home visits, and references - which in my opinion is awesome. if adopters need to return a dog - they take the dog back - not all rescues do this!! This is an all-volunteer rescue that takes animals no other rescue would take. Great group!! Thanks for all you do!!

Fostered 2 dogs and adopted 3 from this great rescue. I found dogs on the website I wanted to help and 1 day after submitting my app I was contacted.

The application is long but it asks important questions to find the right fit for you as well as I'm sure it weeds out bad choices for ownership. I highly recommend them. If you want a dog badly enough the is no reason to not understand what an organization like this must go through to get support and find good homes. I'll definitely get more from here.

Very Dissapointed: I sent thi...

I sent this organization 2 messages (I also filled out and submitted their lengthy adoption application) for a dog I saw they have and had on PetFinder.com. It's now been over a week and I have heard nothing back from them. They say be patient, but now the dog is no longer on PetFinder, although it's still on the Forgotten Paws website. At this point I doubt I'll ever hear anything back from them. If they really want to help unwanted animals get adopted, they need to be more responsive. The only reason this review shows 1 star is that you have to pick at lease 1 star to submit a review. If it were possible, I'd have given them zero stars. My advice would be to not deal with this organization.

Update 8/2/14: I just received an email back from Forgotten Paws ( about 3 weeks late) saying they were sorry and that they had email problems. They told me that they would review my adoption application next week... I told them not to bother, as i had adopted another dog from a shelter a week ago.

NEVER USE THIS ADOPTION COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!THE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD. PERIOD. My family inquired about a particular puppy and we were told to fill out adoption paper work. We filled it out and submitted the application within 24 hours. The next day the woman called saying she had the puppy and wanted to come by to see our house and get a feel for us. It was very short notice but that was okay because we really wanted to see the puppy! She came over and we had a wonderful experience. The lady was knowledgeable about the puppies personalities. Everything was going great. She even offered to give us a deal on taking TWO puppies. She said she accepted our application and the puppy would be available to pick up on that following Monday. We called in on Sunday, the day before pickup, to confirm pickup time and location, etc. She didn't respond all day and around 8 pm that night she sent us a HORRIBLE NASTY email that personally attacked my family. She said that the puppy wasn't suited for my family. It was the most hurtful, horrible, and totally unprofessional email I've ever read. My family, under the impression from the lady from her verbal acceptance of our application, went out and bought toys, treats, pee pads, etc. We had even picked out an adorable name for our new addition. So. Not only was the email hurtful but the entire situation was hurtful. She shouldn't have verbally accepted our application and offered us the puppies to eventually rescind our application. This experience has been extremely hurtful and damaging. NEVER USE THIS ADOPTION COMPANY. EVER.

After having to put my 13 year...

After having to put my 13 year old dog to sleep from cancer, I went searching for a new dog. I found one that seemed perfect for our family, so I submitted an application. I waited 3 days without a response, so I sent an e-mail to verify that the organization had received the application. Still no response. I left several voicemails, and still no response. I read on their website that they would be at Petco in Atlanta on Sunday mornings. I drove an hour to get the chance to talk to someone about the dog that we found. Once I got there, I was told that they had changed their minds and the foster family wanted to adopt that particular dog. However the dog is still listed on the petfinder website. I told them everything I had done to get info. on the dog and there was again no response. So....I sent a complaint e-mail that they DID respond to. Their response was that the dog is available for adoption, but just not available for my family. They told me I could compain all I wanted, but it wouldn't do any good. The e-mail was very rude and nasty. They did not once acknowledge the fact that they refused to respond to the application, e-mail, or voicemail. No apology for the trouble that I went through to try to adopt a dog. I thought they were trying to help animals, but it sure doesn't seem that way to me. I would not ever attempt to use this company. VERY RUDE and DISORGANIZED!
