De La Cruz Lawn Maintenance, Inc. is hired by my Homeowner’s Association. One of their workers trimmed the rear overgrown shrubs around my pool cage, as a result, a split/damaged pool cage cable was left behind. Luis, the owner of the landscaping business, declined any accountability on the mere statement that since he did not receive a call from his worker that damage was done, they did not do any damage. How else would the damage happen, especially since I work from home and when I went outside, I saw a worker trimming trees nearby. I’m not stating that the worker intentionally or knowingly did the damage, but the damage was done, and Luis is not claiming any responsibility, so essentially, he is calling me a liar. After consultation with a pool cage/aluminum contractor, who stated that the damage of this type that they encounter regularly is done by commercial grade landscaping equipment. If you want to hire someone who will not fix any damages that his workers cause, go ahead and hire De la Cruz, if not, find a more reputable landscaper.
