Negative stars!! Not impressed at all. Trying to set up a satellite office and no one seems to understand that I need someone to take a look to make sure we have what we need. So, I get the run around to 3 other people. One puts me on hold then hangs up. Another has an automated systems that breaks up on its end but says it can't understand my answer. I don't even know what the question is!! Oh, but they'd be more than happy to set up my new account while I'm trying to get a guy out to my office. I don't think so!! I'm done. I'm not even going to go through all the hassle to tell them I'm done. To the folks reading this, find someone else!!!

Went into the CenturyLink store thinking the service was going to be better than the horrible Century Link Call Center customer service, essentially run by dim-witted clowns, who hardly have an iota of professionalism in them!

And boy was I surprised ... this store makes Comcast and Time Warner/AOL customer service look like saints (as much as I hate Comcast/TW AOL service).

This store has very few staff, most of whom are away on breaks, instead of helping customers. They were gossiping between themselves and doing their jobs really slowly, instead of helping a bunch of waiting customers (who probably had other things to do, such as get back to work, etc.).

After a long (I mean 1+ hour wait), I was "helped" by a lady who could not figure out how to fix the billing issue I was having (even though she acknowledged it was a mistake on the part of Century Link). She then was on call with their Customer Service hotline for another 30 minutes before she came back and said she could not help me fix it since she had not received the proper training for that and the person on the phone could not figure it out either.

And that I would need to talk to someone in their 'Retention" department to get the billing credit back (I suppose they need to have a "Retention" department to counteract the lousy "regular" call center service department they have).

All in all, they were not able to "retain" me, I switched to Comcast (another company I don't like either, but at least their customer service is better than CenturyLink).

Comcast was able to give me a great rate and great service + a new connection, within 2 hours of talking to them.

Since there is no option for 0-starts or negative-stars here, I suppose 1-star is the only consolation the dense, nincompoops at Century Link deserve !

Adios Retardos !!

I WOULD ALSO GIVE NEGATIVE STARS. MANY MANY NEGATIVE STARS. Awful company. I think they do everything they can to waste your time and take all your money. I'm on a mission to find another provider and avoid this terrible monopoly.

If I could give negative stars, I would. This is the worst experience with an Internet company I have ever had.

We were told that we wouldn't get internet for a week even after we received a flyer claiming that we could, "call today and get it installed today or tomorrow". We waited a week and I ended up staying home all day to wait for a tech to come out and hook it up. I called in three times throughout the day to make sure I was still on the list for install and was finally told at 7pm that it had been turned on and all I had to do was plug in my equipment. Wonderful waste of my time.

We plugged in our equipment and surprise, surprise... No internet.

My husband sat on the phone with tech support for an hour and a half before getting someone who could explain what the problem was. This is interesting, please take note -

They made us wait a week for their computer to run a test to see if our apartment had been set up for their services previously. After the test had been completed and the computer showed that the previous resident had been a subscriber, they simply flipped a switch on their end. We waited a week for them to hit the "on" button.

After the computer tells them that the service has been turned on, they cancel the technician in your area. So even if the wires are crossed somewhere outside the building and your internet isn't functional (as is our case), you then have to wait for another technician to become available. And for us, that means a whole other week. Two weeks with no internet. In today's society, that is unacceptable.

This review is longer than any I have ever taken the time to write because I believe this company to be backward and disorganized and uncaring about the quality of their service and the quality of customer service they provide. I work from home. I rely on internet for my livelihood. Two weeks to wait for a technician to flip some wires is ludicrous and highly upsetting. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this company if you are able.
