Cabbage Patch Settlement House is a nonprofit, Christian organization empowering families and children to be self-sufficient by helping them maximize their spiritual, social, emotional, physical, moral, economic and educational potential. For more than 90 years, the organization has served disadvantaged children and youth by assisting them in eliminating the boundaries of poverty. Cabbage Patch offers diverse services to residents, including youth development and recreation, educational opportunities, counseling and family services. Its programs are designed to help young people make positive choices and avoid violence, drug abuse, alcoholism, teen pregnancy and school dropouts. The programs include tutoring, athletics, camping, outdoor education, cultural and performing arts. The counselors at Cabbage Patch Settlement House provide individualized treatment plans for troubled children. Cabbage Patch Settlement House is headquartered in Louisville, Ky.
