We've been sitting by the side of the road for 4 hours in a truck with a broken water pump. The maintenance record shows it is 1,500 miles overdue. The roadside tech could not repair on side of road. When we called Oniell he says, "once you leave my lot, not my problem. Do me a favor and never rent from me again" and then he hangs up. Save yourself the pain and frustration, let alone the time and expense, and rent your trucks from someone else. It is Oniell's problem because he doesn't maintain his trucks and rents them when in need of repair so it becomes corporate's and the renters issue. Oniell is a sleazy business, renters beware!

The owner of O'Niell Rentals is not one I'd do business with. He yelled at me over the phone, hung up, and turned his phone off, when I told him nicely that he should have notified me of the early close (10AM) on Memorial Day--the day I had made an early reservation to move. Mind you, I'd called a few days before, meaning this was a second confirmation call I made. Neither times did the owner tell me to come early to pick up the truck. Fortunately I complained to Budget Customer Service and was able to get a discount, but I still have to miss a day of work!
