Overall, a good trip. Had a group of 8 booked for the 5 hour trip. Capt and first mate were good people. Didn't seem bored with us, actually having a good laugh with us at the few that were feeling rough due to the night before.



We caught plenty of bass, a couple nice barracudas, and a small tiger shark. Had one get away which we thought to be a snapper. For the most part, an exciting morning.



My only complaint was the time spent on bait fish. After the hour ride out to the reef, we were ready to get into some serious fish....not bait. Seems there was a lot of good time wasted there.



Also, tipping encouraged for first mate by a sign on the boat and capt.....although 18% was included in bill. I shouldnt feel pressured to tip when a large sum has already been paid.



I would still consider another trip with them, but only if suggestions are considered.

Great Trip! Lots of fish. The captain knew just where to take us, and the first mate was awesome! You bring your food and drinks, and they provide everything else. You can tell they care about your experience, and want you to have a great time! I read the other reviews after I booked this, and seriously do not understand how they can find fault with this charter. We will go again and again.

I would not recommend. All we caught was sea bass and we couldn't keep them. We also caught a few sharks but had to release them because they were not long enough.

We drove the boat over an hour to the artificial reef. When we arrived, there were already boats on top of the reef. Instead of fishing on the reef with the other boats, the driver decided to fish at another spot away from the reef. WTF, we paid him to get the premium fishing spots and when he gets there he tells us there's too many boats there?????!!!!

The fishing rods and reel felt old and rusty. The boat smelled like rotten fish. I remember telling my buddy that i'll pay another $100 for them just to end the trip. The other poster was correct, the captain seemed uninterested and lazy. It looked like he had a late night at the bar and was hung over.

I would NOT recommend this charter. My family chartered Reelemn, aka

Dolphin Magic Tours, in August 2010 for a 8 hour sea fishing

adventure. The weather was awesome. We had 6 people in our party.

The captain appeared bored and very sleepy. We felt he was only

putting his time in for the money. The first mate was a novice.

Early in the day we did catch 2 barracuda in one area. That of course

was a lot of fun. But the excitement was over after that. The

captain suddenly told us to bring our lines in. And off we went to

other areas where we caught very very small fish or nothing at all.

If your looking for deep sea fishing try a different charter.
