Bloomin Blinds Clermont franchise: Con-men, charlatans. Stay away.

House I bought had vertical blinds already installed and the draw string broke but no store would come out to repair.

Found Clermont Bloomin Blinds and despite them saying that they can perform in-home repair, I allegedly had a repair that could not be performed and I would need a new set.

The 1st Bloomin Blinds Clermont franchise con-man spent more time trying to sell a business idea than he did measuring my current installation. This would come back to bite me. I was told it would take a week. 2 weeks later they would be 3 hours late for the install.

The measurements were off horizontally and vertically? I'm not in the business but aren't 2 of the most important factors width and height? They were so off that I now have 3 extra sets of holes in my wall that need to be spackled and painted. They took my original set with them.

Quality? Piece of crap. My set had a decorative, metal chain and the one they sold is cheap plastic.

I complained and requested the correct size set and superior quality. I also made it clear that the first Bloomin Blinds Clermont franchise con-man was not allowed back in my house.

A week or so later the Bloomin Blinds Clermont franchise owner came out to measure. 6 WEEKS after the initial failed appointment, the Bloomin Blinds Clermont franchise sent a new set with the guy I told them I did not want back in my home. I needed this resolved so I let him in. He did the work - no apology, no courtesy.

3 days later the draw string broke. No, there's no tension on it. I fixed it.
2 weeks later the draw string broke in another place. There's still no tension on it. I fixed it.

Being that the Bloomin Blinds Clermont franchise is using the Bloomin Blinds' supply lines, I suspect this is rampant in the company, making it a small leap to suspect this kind of customer deception is synonymous with Bloomin Blinds. Your mileage may vary.
