Bertram Drilling Inc is a drilling company focused on client returns. Our company slogan is “We Truly Make A Difference”; as Bertram's Operations Manager I come to work each day working hard to truly make a difference for each of our clients. We offer a number of drilling services with our many locations around the world to serve our clients, while I focus on serving California’s many drilling needs from water well and geothermal drilling to many other services. California’s farmers and ranchers have been hit tough with water allocation cuts leaving these fantastic businesses and families facing hard decisions like how will they continue to farm and grow our country’s food without the water their crops need. I have helped a number of clients answer that question by consulting them on using ground water resources to provide the extra water they need for their crops with new water wells as a groundwater supplement to their existing irrigation infrastructure. One of our great services that we provide is Geothermal drilling for direct exchange ground loops for residential, commercial facilities, and single family homes. With the escalating price of natural gas and other fuels, geothermal heating and cooling has become an increasingly popular alternative for residential and commercial applications. Where conventional methods burn fossil fuels to create heat, the geothermal process simply harnesses the existing energy of the earth. A mixture of water and non-toxic antifreeze is constantly circulated through a closed loop of pipe buried in the ground in vertical or horizontal bore holes. In winter, the earth's heat is absorbed by the circulating liquid. Ground source heat pumps transfer this heat to the building; in summer, the process is reversed, thereby dissipating the heat from inside the building into the ground.
