My experience started in 2003, when I met my spouse. My spouse had a child from a prior marriage and Mr. Turner represented my spouse's ex. After numerous failed attempts of exercising regular visitation after I came into the picture, my spouse's ex decided to take us to court and make me a party to their divorce. After a short period of successful visitation, the ex had taken the child, and fled the state without a single notification. In 2006, once we found where the child was taken, we then filed for emergency custody, as advised by the judge to our attorney. The ex did not show up to court, nor did Mr. Turner, however he did send in his partner to request that we wait the two weeks until the child's school was out. Pleading that we not disrupt the child's school schedule, we agreed to wait the two weeks. DO NOT EVER WAIT!!! I'm still shocked and confused as to how we went from the judge telling the ex to "pack her toothbrush because she's going to jail for kidnapping" to Mr. Turner somehow proving "willful and deliberate non-payment of child support" when the child support was set up on wage assignment, and posted a day later than anticipated. According to our attorney at the time, because we didn't go through with the emergency removal, apparently we weren't serious about the situation at hand. My spouse and I went through the proper procedures to set up wage assignment, even though we did not have an address of where the child was illegally residing. This started the string of court hearings run amuck.

Our court case was continued from 2006 - 2010, until finally all of our resources had been extinguished. Judge Soloman would give us a hurdle to jump over, like the $4000 performance bond that had to be in place within 24 hours of that court hearing or else the case wouldn't be heard, so once we jumped over it and provided the performance bond. Mr. Turner then put in for another continuation and three more would come from that one just because "he couldn't be there." Turns out Mr. Turner's licensed had been suspended, however he continued to practice unsupervised. The ex had a cruise planned, and needed my spouse's signature for the child's passport. We were told by Mr. Turner, if my spouse signed the passport to allow the child to go on the cruise, that he would shortly thereafter begin to exercise regular visitation. This was a lie as well.

We went through multiple attorney's trying to be rightfully represented, however each one of them quit because of Mr. Turner's antics. (Our retainer would be exhausted after one court appearance) All the while, Mr. Turner's client, the ex, was being sent to jail for multiple DUI's in and out of the state of Tennessee, once to include the child being present in the vehicle. (Talk about child endangerment!) When we tried filing for a trial date, we receive a "Motion to Suspend Visitation" solely based on the fact that we relocated out of state. (Again - completely illegal) The document was "signed" by Judge Soloman, however when revisiting this with an attorney during the ex's recent 45 day incarceration for their 5th (only convicted of 2nd) DUI, the attorney we spoke with stated that no such motion had been entered with the court and that Mr. Turner had lied to us again. When we asked Mr. Turner about this, he openly admitted that he made us believe that visitation had been suspended when it wasn't.

We never got a trial date even after filing for one, so we haven't seen the child but a few times since 2009. However it's demanded that child support be paid in full by the 15th of the month or a bench warrant will be served on my spouse.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! ...

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! never saw the actual lawyer after the initial meeting, couldnt get paperwork correct, couldnt send out paperwork to correct address, and told me i had court dates only to find out i didnt, then called asking why i wasnt in court when THEY told me i didnt have court. They dont mind taking your money but they dont like working with you to get your case resolved in a timely manner.. 6mo later im no closer to a divorce than i was on day 1.

My worst customer service expe...

My worst customer service experience in Nashville! He could not be reached when needed, did not return calls, unapologetically stood me up in court, and basically took my money without working to get my divorce as promised. His staff members are very rude, not helpful and seem to work harder trying to keep clients away from him than trying to keep paying clients satisfied. I regret that I ever retained him as my attorney.
