Situated in Bellevue in the western part of Nashville, Redeemer was founded in 1982 through the mission efforts of Concordia Lutheran Church, the first LCMS congregation in the Nashville area. In 1987 a new education wing was added. In the mid 1990s, the congregation reached out in faith to help daughter St. John Lutheran in Burns, TN.
