One of the largest beverage distributors in Tennessee, DET Distributing Company provides more than 100 different brands of beer and bottled water to nearly 20 counties. On Aug. 8, 1951, E.E. Det Dettwiller founded DET Distributing as a distributor for Schlitz and Sterling beer. In the 1960s, Miller Brewing Company products were added. In 1995, the company became one of the first Tennessee beer distributorships to acquire a wholesale liquor license for wine and spirits. Among the many brands the company distributes are American Hard Cider, Coors, Coors Light, Corona, Fosters, Guinness, Mike's Hard Lemonade, Miller Genuine Draft, Olde English, Samuel Adams, Smirnoff Ice and Zima. It also distributes nonalcoholic beers, such as Coors, Kaliber and Sharps, and bottled water, such as Evian and Perrier. DET Distributing Company is headquartered in Nashville, Tenn.
