The Jones family was so kind to us. Their quality of service, set up of flowers the day of the funeral was perfect! The Jones family and their staff made such a difference in our lives - everything they did for us was absolutely perfect.

I have used the services of Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home in Naperville on two occasions. Because of their thoughtful attention, sense of compassion, and professionalism, I am happy to say that I had a great experience with them on each occasion.The first occasion involved the pre-planning for my Dad who had suffered a major heart-attack and was in declining health. Friedrich-Jones’ director of Pre-Planning Services, Stephanie Jones-Kastelic, patiently walked me through the various issues to bear in mind and the different options available in purchasing a pre-paid funeral plan, covering the anticipated costs of the funeral. A little more than a year-and-a-half later my Dad passed away. Because he was buried in another city, Friedrich-Jones did not handle the actual burial. Nevertheless, they helped plan a Memorial Mass for my Dad that was equivalent to a funeral. This took placed at St. Patrick’s Nursing Home in Naperville, where he lived after his first heart-attack. With respect to both the planning of the actual funeral and the subsequent ceremony at the nursing home, I greatly appreciated Friedrich-Jones’ good counsel, sensitivity, and attention to detail.The second occasion involved the pre-planning for my Mom who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and was no longer able to care for herself. She also moved to St. Patrick’s. Given my previous experience with Friedrich-Jones, I had every confidence that they would provide excellent advice and service in planning for my Mom’s funeral. I am happy to say that in making these arrangements they demonstrated the same professionalism and compassion as before.Planning for the death of a loved one and organizing the funeral for a family member who has passed away are things that no one looks forward to dong. With the help of the people at Friedrich-Jones these difficult things can be handled in a way that serves the needs of the family and does honor to the loved one who has passed away.

My uncle's services were held at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home. I cannot say enough about the warm and gracious treatment we all received. Dave Jones met with my family and patiently provided us with options and information. Dave, Stephanie, and Ray attended to every detail with warmth and care. Coming from a city background it was so refreshing to have services in a funeral home that's part of a neighborhood and not situated in the midst of a busy commercial area. My children played in the school playground that is right behind the funeral home, and many of our guests enjoyed sitting on their big front porch reminiscing about my uncle. The whole atmosphere inside and out was welcoming and comforting. Thank you to the whole Jones family and their great staff for handling my uncle's services perfectly.

I recently attended a very sad service at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home for an 8 year old little boy. Driving to the service I was very nervous about seeing him and was selfishly hoping that the casket would be closed. Thankfully it was not, and I cannot say enough about how beautiful that little boy looked or about how glad I was to have one last chance to see him and say 'good-bye'. The experience, although very painful, was made warm and caring by the entire staff at Friedrich-Jones. I was greeted at the door by a director who was very compassionate and immediately put me at ease. The funeral home was truly like a home, which was so comforting. I am so thankful that we have such a dedicated, compassionate funeral home in our community, caring for our families in their time of great loss. I know the family of the little boy well and it gave me so much comfort to know how well they were being taken care of as they grieved the loss of their beautiful little boy.

Not only is Friedrich Jones a lovely funeral home, the people who work there are just as lovely. They have great compassion and knowledge. Their commitment to the community is also outstanding. It is important to use local businesses that have a great sense of "community" like the folks here do.

Still on support on the following Tuesday, we visited one Ray Jones (owner), to plan a tentative day for the Services for my father. Mr. Jones also proceeded to suggest that we make a decision on my father coming off the machines by that weds so that we would have enough "time" to get everything ready for our date on friday. Taking his advice we said that weds we would be doing what we need to do. After a two hour discussion on the services and plans, we leave a deposit and are promised we would have their great room reserved, this being the largest room they have, as the other two are very small and not even connected. That "wednesday" he was pronounced dead at 1pm. The hospital promised to contact them, and DIDN'T, when we called to confirm that they had gone to pick him up they said no, had not heard from the hospital, & because of this, they gave the larger room away, ironically an hour after we left that tuesday!
