I had to wonder about the negative press and blogs I had read about D & R Sports store's owners. My dealings with the firm go back to the mid-'80s, when I lived in Maryland and hunted in Maine and Vermont. I special-ordered two new Remington rifles, models 7400 and 7600, both in (no longer chambered) 280 Rem., which I later used for years for hunting in Germany, and a new Savage 99C in 308 Win. D & R Sports handled the special orders very professionally and gave me good prices on all rifles. Based on my experience/memory with the firm, I would recommend D & R Sports without reservation.
