What a local gem! Enjoy fresh baked goods on the dock with a friend as the clouds roll by. I had the roasted red pepper quiche and a chocolate croissant to go. Both were noteworthy and delightful treats. Coffee was okay but not the draw here. Pumpkin Tart looked great, five decadent layers but a little too much for 9 o'clock in the morning! Will try again!

While in Mystic for only three days I have to admit that I visited Lis Bake Shop twice. The cupcakes are so moist and are the best ones I have ever eaten in my many travels from California to New York City and beyond. I tried the pistachio and chocolate but could bet that the banana cupcakes were to "die for" too.
