First and last time at this sorry chain as there is way better out there. They encouraged me to buy a dining set that I was not sure would fit, and also an extended warranty. They gave me a furniture polish kit (which I did not even ask for), which they said came with the extended warranty. I go home and measure and the table would be too big. I call back and cancel and they say they will not give me my $2000 back until we bring back the polish kit that they gave me, and that I should do this next day!
We had to drive 29 miles to return a polish kit that we did not even ask for, so they would not hold our money hostage any more! And yes...I also have a VM from the salesman saying they would not give me my money back! So I bring it back and vent a bit, telling them I drove 29 miles and they should wait until the sale clears in 24 hrs before they hand out kits, and that it's bad policy to think your customer is going to steal their stupid kits. Then some foolhardy salesman named Chris butts in comes over telling us to respect them. Excuse me? I was not yelling or cursing and was respectful, so like I told you Chris...learn to MYOB! We were all FINE without you inflaming the situation and foolishly interrupting us! I was very inconvenienced, so I am allowed to talk a bit loud and vent about Ashley Furniture being petty, unprofessional, and like the other reviews say...just wanting your money. We went to another store in NMB and bought a whole living room set and dining set and they treated us wonderfully!

I would not recommend Ashley Furniture Home Store in Myrtle Beach South Carolina.
I needed a new sleeper sofa for my condo in Myrtle Beach. I live in Georgia, so I started calling furniture companies in Myrtle Beach. My first question was if they would remove the old sofa when they delivered the new sofa. The Salesperson on the phone, Linda, said it would be no problem. We completed the sale with Salesperson, Tony. He agreed it would not be a problem to remove the old sofa when they delivered the new one. They completed the delivery and left the old sofa in the condo. We did not realize until our renters told us that there were two sofas in our condo. There was no room to move in the living room with two sofas. We called and spoke with Kevin Satterfield, Manager of the store. He apologized and said that they would remove the sofa and donate it to charity. When the delivery men arrived they tried to take the new sofa. They were very rude to our cleaning person. When the finally agreed to take the old sofa, they left the new one in the middle of the room. They took the old sofa out of the condo and left it in the hallway of the resort. I received a call from the maintenance department at the resort telling me to remove the sofa as it was a fire hazard. I called the store and was transferred to the Warehouse manager, Robert Anderson. He stated that they did what they were supposed to do. He hung up the phone on me. After arguing for two hours, they agreed to go get the sofa. I was promised a call back on Monday from the manager. He never called. On Wednesday I finally spoke with Kevin Satterfield. He made a lot of excuses and said he did what he promised. I would avoid this store at all costs. It is not worth the trouble. They will tell you anything to make the sale and then not back up those promises with action.
