OPEN NOW - Closes at 11:00pm

Would give ZERO but is not possible. Service was so bad after 20 min just got up and left. Would have understood if it was busy but it wasn't! Made me think they didn't like the color of my guest! Would NEVER go back!

On Wednesday August 5, 2009 (for the first time) we tried this "restaurant" for dinner. We had a party of seven and arrived at approximately 8:30pm. From the outside, it looked like a fun, casual place. Upon entering the facility from the rear entrance, we first noticed how uncomfortably warm the temperature was inside. It was busy and we had to wait about 20 minutes for our table.



While waiting for our table, I decided to use use the Men's wash room. It was very messy with three full rolls of paper towel sitting on a flooded sink counter (which were soaked) while there was still paper towel inside the dispenser. Also, the trash basket was overflowing. After departing the bathroom, I informed two workers of the bathroom condition.



THE FOLLOWING IS A LIST OF POOR BASIC SERVICE ITEMS OBSERVED DURING OUR VISIT:



(1) When sitting down at our table, I found two used forks and

various food under the table, plus, many other areas of the

floor were dirty with food & trash.



(2) The salad bar was poorly stocked/attended; When I went to

make a salad, the lettuce was completely gone and there were

no salad plates so I informed an associate of the missing

lettuce and plates.



(3) While I waited for the lettuce to arrive, I decided to get a

cup of soup but there were no bowls! Again, I had to inform

an employee of this situation.



(4) The salad bar also seemed to, at one time, have bread

available (an empty plate was sitting on the salad bar) but

the entire time we were there, no bread was brought to the

salad bar.



KEEP IN MIND, THERE'S A SIGN ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING ADVERTISING A "21 ITEM GARDEN FRESH SALAD BAR."



My guess for all the issues that night were; (a) They were short handed. (b) Poor management. (c) There was a big rush of unexpected patrons, all of which are no excuse for restaurant (in business for 43 years, which I find hard to believe) to be run like that!



On the plus side, our entrees were delicious and prepared perfectly to order. Most of us ate steak, my son (who of course was not picking up the tab) ordered the fillet and let me finish what he couldn't. I was very surprised at the generous size of this cut and it tasted better then any fillet I've ever eaten.



So, it's up to you, do you feel lucky? I'm hoping this was just an exception to their normal operation conditions as the small Upper Peninsula town of Munising is very tourist dependent and needs good restaurants.

Dont waste your time going to this dump...and here is a few reasons why::: 1) The owner Bill is a complete arse! He treats customers like they are dirt and dont deserve to drink in this dump. 2) The food taste like low-grade dogfood! 3) The place smelled like urine... I thought I was going to be sick, but my buddy (a local that brought me there) said it was an awesome place. Apparently he never gets out that much. Drive by this dump as fast as you can and roll up your windows so you dont smell the stink of this place!!!

The servers are cheerful, fast and very attendant to your needs, the food is excellent, served in nice-sized portions and very reasonably priced. I liked the decor of the place, too.
