Northeast Correctional Complex, also known as NECX, offers intensive substance abuse and anger management counseling programs. The agency provides adult basic education classes and vocational programs. It offers therapeutic and rehabilitative services for serious and violent offenders. Northeast Correctional Complex also has public policy information, analysis and research capabilities. The agency provides coordination and support services for the review and development of department policies and procedures. It additionally offers crisis intervention and advocacy services to assist victims with concerns related to inmates under jurisdiction. Northeast Correctional Complex is accredited by the American Correctional Association. The agency is a part of the Department of Correction, which is administered by the government of Tennessee.
