Established in 1984, Skagit County Jail is a detention facility that houses more than 6,000 inmates per year. The jail is a part of the Skagit County Sheriff's Office, which is governed by Skagit County in Washington. Its Jail Alternatives Program offers alternatives to the standard methods of incarceration.
