This used to be our primary hospital, but no longer. We will use Lakeway for extreme emergencies and Jefferson Memorial fir everything else. I recently had a Gall Bladder issue with extreme pain and we went to M-H. They made us sit there with me in excruciating pain for two hours before taking us back and giving me something for pain. This was only because I was on my way out the door, heading to Lakeway. There was nobody else in the ER waiting room in pain like I was, yet they insisted on taking people back in the order of arrival rather than severity of medical condition. That just doesn't make sense. I suppose a gunshot victim would be waiting too?! Then we spent another 5 hours in the ER room and saw a DR about once an hour. We had our small children who needed to be in school in the morning and finally left about 11 PM.

I was treated for an intestinal blockage at this hospital. I received excellent care. While I was there, I watched a lot of television. I had an ileus and because of this, I was hospitalized there. My illness caused me not to be able to eat or drink for over a week. When I was finally able to eat, I ate seven meals there. Even though I was sick, I had a good experience at this hospital and was treated well by the staff.
